“It’s the most important election of our lifetime” is a regular sarcastic quip from Libertarians. Who can blame them really? It’s repeated every single election cycle, and the world has not yet ended. This election may not be any different, but it is an irregularly consequential election. I don’t believe there is an intellectually honest way to deny that it’s consequential.

We’ve seen the lawfare against Trump meant to destroy both his candidacy and himself. We’ve seen the party claiming “Democracy is on the ballot” attempt to wipe Donald Trump’s name off that same ballot. We’ve watched as he was convicted of 36 felonies for doing exactly what Hillary Clinton’s campaign paid a mere $8,000 fine for. We watched as Matthew Colangelo resigned from the Biden DOJ so he could prosecute Donald Trump in New York, while the Biden Administration claimed with a straight face that they were not involved in any way.

We have watched two assassination attempts, one where bullets flew and another where they were waiting. The second attempt was prompted by rhetoric from the Democrats that Trump was a fascist and a danger to Democracy. Rhetoric that the Democrats have only ratcheted up since that attempt.

We have watched as the Democrats have installed a different Presidential Nominee without a primary for voters to select their candidate. While this is pretty uncharted territory, I do not believe history will look back favorably on this, and future precedent will likely be written by the Supreme Court in opposition to it.

This is an election unlike any other, and it is indeed consequential.

Trump has courted Libertarians specifically by coming to their convention where he promised to free Ross Ulbricht, protect Bitcoin and place a Libertarian in his cabinet. These are definitely some wins. However there are even bigger wins that Trump did not announce at the Libertarian convention.

One common criticism that Libertarians have of Republicans is that they never actually cut spending or eliminate wasteful departments. This has been true up until now. Trump is tapping Elon Musk to launch a Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) to address this very thing. Who better than Elon Musk to drastically reduce Federal agencies like he did to the headcount at Twitter? OK OK fine, yes Ron Paul, you got me there.

It’s a good thing Elon Musk agrees with you.

Trump has assembled the likes of Vivek Ramaswamy, Tulsi Gabbard, RFK Jr, Elon Musk, and yes, Ron Paul now too. It is a team of great people all tapped for specific strengths to be used in Trump’s second cabinet which is shaping up a whole lot better than his first one.

However the most consequential thing may come after the next 4 years are over. If Trump wins this election, then all the establishment Republicans and neocon warmongers who have aligned themselves with the Democrats will be stuck there. They will have no credibility after such a loss. If Trump loses however, they will have credibility to ooze their way back in.

A Trump win creates a vacuum in 4 years when Trump’s 2nd term is over. It’s a vacuum that beaten neocons would not be able to recapture and fill. The Ron Paul conservatives, the Vivek Ramaswamys and JD Vances and those who love liberty should position themselves to fill that vacuum.

This is a consequential election, and getting Trump over the finish line sets us up for even bigger wins in the long term. These are wins we can actually pat ourselves on the back for and take credit for. We’re responsible for freeing Ross. We’re responsible for Republicans cutting spending. Let’s take those wins and own them.

A widely shared post on X (formerly Twitter) from an account called AF Post claimed “Milei Government increases electricity and gas tariffs on middle and low income households by more than 100%.”

The specific claim that “Tariffs were raised” is False. This likely comes from confusion between the varying definitions of a Tariff.

The statement made by AF Post and their use of tariff reads as if this were a tax being raised on Energy (specifically in sense of being a tax on goods that is originating from a foreign nation). Many who have interacted with the post have done so under this incorrect belief.

In regards to Energy specifically, a tariff is a rule or set of rules that govern Energy rates. In this definition of tariff, there are varying ways rates are charged depending on if you are a residence or a business (and even depending on how large of a business you are). Some rules amongst utilities may even charge different rates based on tiers of usage, or even time of day (peak hours). These rules on what rate to charge under which circumstance is called a tariff.

The article in Spanish shared by the AF Post from Argentinian news source TN was also using the Energy definition of a tariff.

What Javier Milei did was remove a subsidy that had been artificially lowering the energy rate for Argentinians who will now be paying the market rate. This was not an increase in the rate, or an “increase in the tariff (tax)” but rather a change in the tariff (rule) that eliminated the subsidy.

Eliminating subsidies is a popular position amongst libertarians.

Former President Donald Trump has made a play to court Libertarians to help get him over the finish line in the 2024 election. He has made the promise to commute the prison sentence of Ross Ulbricht, which would be a huge win for Libertarians. He has also promised to include Libertarians in his cabinet and amongst his advisors, which would give Libertarians direct influence for the first time ever.

While Donald Trump was met with mixed reactions at the Libertarian National Convention, a number of Libertarians have started to give this offer another look. Following the Libertarian Party selecting Chase Oliver as their Presidential Nominee, a number of Libertarians are declining to back a candidate who supports children using puberty blockers and hormones. Many also believe that the 34 felony count conviction of Donald Trump was indeed politically motivated to specifically railroad the leading candidate in the race.

Some Libertarians however are still skeptical of Donald Trump’s olive branch to the Libertarian Party members. I have seen this question posed many times:

“If Donald Trump said he would drain the swamp but didn’t do it in his first term, why should I believe he would do it in his second term?”

This is absolutely a fair question, and it is based on a correct premise. Donald Trump clearly did not drain the swamp in his first term, and quite the opposite included swamp creatures like Michael Bolton in his administration. History can certainly be a predictor of future behavior, but one can also learn from their mistakes. History is also not the only predictor of behavior. Libertarians also understand that incentives guide behavior, and the incentives are much different this time. There is one consistent factor that was a liability to Trump in his first term, but will be an asset to him in a second term. That factor being, Donald Trump loves Donald Trump.

He really loves Donald Trump.

This was clearly a liability in Trump’s first term, as he was susceptible to flattery. He let the wrong people around him and gave them access to levers of power. The deep state was amongst his cabinet, undermining him at every turn while keeping him in the dark the best they could. They gained this access simply by buttering Trump up and flattering him.

Donald Trump’s love of Donald Trump will be an asset in a second term because self preservation is on the line. Donald Trump wants to save Donald Trump. This will absolutely require drastic actions that Libertarians would call a good time

Trump has already surrounded himself with better people who are committed to draining the swamp. Close by his side is Vivek Ramaswamy who has written plans for mass layoffs in Federal alphabet agencies, stating we need to do to the Federal Government what Elon Musk did to Twitter. Ramaswamy has proposed staffing cuts initially as high as 75% to get the party started.

Almost every action imaginable that Trump would need to take to save his own ass aligns with Libertarian goals and large reductions in government.

And Trump really wants to save his own ass, because Donald Trump really loves Donald Trump.

The Libertarian Party was in the national spotlight as they held their party convention over Memorial Day Weekend to nominate their Presidential Candidate. It was not the candidates themselves that drew the national interest and media attention, but rather the guest speakers that were lined up to deliver speeches.

Former Republican Presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy delivered a speech and then sat for a short debate with Dave Smith and Clint Russell. RFK Jr also delivered a speech and then attempted to gain the Libertarian nomination to run for president, but was eliminated on the first ballot with less than 3% of the vote.

The most notable guest appearances would be a keynote speech from former congressman Ron Paul, as well as a speech from the 45th President of the United States Donald Trump.

Donald Trump and Joe Biden were both sent invitations to attend the Libertarian Party national convention to specifically address the concerns of Libertarians. Donald Trump accepted while Joe Biden did not.

As some mainstream outlets reported, Trump was met with boos while delivering his remarks. He was however also met with cheers and applause. It depended on what he was saying. Libertarians tend to respond case by case to ideas.

Trump seemed to receive his loudest boos when he stated he was endorsed by the NRA (for those who are confused here, Libertarians generally do not believe the NRA is pro gun enough, and tend to support other organizations like Firearms Policy Coalition or National Association for Gun Rights).

Trump received his biggest ovation when he promised to commute the sentence of Ross Ulbricht who is serving life in prison for creating the Silk Road site. The crowd applauded and chants of Free Ross erupted in the auditorium while attendees waved Free Ross signs.

Ross Ulbricht responded on X (formerly Twitter) thanking Trump and expressing optimism that he may get a 2nd chance at freedom.

Trump’s commitment to commuting the sentence of Ross was part of an olive branch he was extending to Libertarians, as well as promising to include Libertarians in cabinet positions in his Administration should he win the 2024 election. He came to the convention to court Libertarians for their support. While Trump’s reception had mixed reactions, Libertarians would be wise to give it further consideration.

Everyone who was sitting in that room listening to Trump speak, and many others who watched online had a choice candidate running for the Libertarian nomination that they supported. Only one of those who ran received the nomination, and the nominee was Chase Oliver (the furthest left candidate who ran).

Many in the Libertarian Party believe that children should not be subject to gender transitioning practices such as hormones or reassignment surgeries. The belief that right leaning Libertarians have is that adults can make these decisions for themselves, but children cannot consent to this as they can’t grasp the risks or permanent implications. Chase has refused to come out against children being transitioned or kept apart from drag queen story hours, which is likely a bridge too far for many of the Libertarians who supported other candidates.

For those of you who are now open to reconsidering support of Donald Trump, the rest of this piece is for you.

Donald Trump is offering Libertarian wins on a Federal level that likely will never be achieved by the Libertarian Party. The clemency of Ross Ulbricht is a win for the cause. Involving Libertarians in his administration is a win for the cause. It gives Libertarians (for the first time ever) a seat at the table and an open invitation to give the Overton Window a gigantic push.

There are only 2 paths towards a Libertarian order. The first is the black pill; an entire collapse of society with the hope that Libertarians will fill that vacuum (when in reality those vacuums don’t tend to be filled by peace and cooperation, but rather the most sinister thing to fill it). The second is through incremental changes, the general order in which things move. If one recognizes change happens in increments, then it should be recognized that Libertarian influence is vital in moving towards a Libertarian order. This vital thing is being offered.

Libertarians tend to get stuck in ideological purity contests, with arguments of theory and Libertarian dogma determining who is the best Libertarian. Libertarian accomplishments have been determined by who wins what debate on whose podcast or YouTube channel.

Freeing Ross Ulbricht is a better achievement than winning an argument that few people watched which resulted in no change. Having a seat at the table and influencing policy into the ear of the President is an achievement.

If you think Republicans cannot effect change, ask yourselves what the Libertarian Party would look like today if Ron Paul 2008 and 2012 never happened. It would only be a shell of its current self. Almost every Trump supporter today who did not support Ron Paul when he ran all look back and say “Yes, Ron Paul was right.” It was a matter of Ron Paul Republicans being ahead of their time who made their way into the Libertarian Party. The others are catching up, and they’re asking us to help get them up to speed.

Ron Paul was right, and we have their attention. We can bring some of our ideas to fruition, and every single one we do would be a win we otherwise would never have achieved on our own. Prove Libertarian ideas work in practice rather than arguing in theory, and give those ideas staying power. There probably will never be a chance like this again.

Last week social media became busy regarding an odd premise. Women began proactively offering that should they be asked the hypothetical question “If you were hiking in the woods, would you rather come across a man or a bear” that they would answer with Bear. Much like finding out someone is a vegan, nobody actually asked. Thus, it came across to men as an unprovoked brow-beating from bitter misandrists.

Men would fire back that not all men were dangerous to women, and any bear you run into in the woods is dangerous. All things ‘No Shit.

To be fair, not all men and women were at odds, rather it was a vocal minority on each side. Plenty of others simply laughed at the memes that came out of the controversy. You can always rely on memes. But for that vocal crowd this became a polarizing all or nothing debate, where in reality this is another example that two things can be true

Where did things go wrong? The concern that women have is obviously valid and true. However the framing of this concern was done exceptionally poorly, which gave birth to natural exceptions coming from men. Women were receiving “not all men” as a response because the thought experiment included all men. Women certainly were not saying that all men are this way, but it did construct yet another caricature about men that was unflattering, essentially stating that they are to be viewed as animals or sexual predators regardless of whether or not they are. While illustrating points can be beneficial for making a point, venturing into hyperbole about people is not a good way to convince them to listen to you.

The thought experiment became less and less honest as the women making this comparison demanded control of all nuance. No nuance allowed from men, nor even from women who made counter points.

Below is a post from a woman extending the logic from the forest to women’s spaces such as bathrooms and locker rooms.

She is told that this is irrelevant despite it being a natural and logical extension of the thought experiment. It is clearly an applicable element of this debate, so why is it irrelevant? Because you don’t control the nuance, that’s why. You don’t get to suggest this. That’s not where we intended for this conversation to go.

Here seems like a good place to casually mention that just about every day a female adult sexually assaults a gradeschool boy.

The data is clear. Obviously way more women are harmed or killed by men than by bears every year. So why wouldn’t this comparison make the grandest of sense to everyone? Why wouldn’t men just understand that they should be perceived as threatening everywhere they go?

Let’s talk about how men understand this.

The thought experiment is centered around chance encounters with strangers. Men actually understand chance encounter violence very well, because more men are killed by strangers than women (and yes, we recognize that it is mostly men doing the killing).

While chance encounter violence does occur with women, the overwhelming majority of danger to women comes from intimate partners. When you see women justifying the Man VS Bear thought experiment due to 1 in 4 women experiencing sexual violence, what they are citing is an intimate partner and not a chance encounter with a stranger (which voids the premise behind the thought experiment).

Men understand bad men being intimate partners pretty well too. If you’re a man reading this, then much like myself you’ve probably warned a woman friend about an intimate partner they’ve started seeing, and she didn’t listen to you. You’re nodding yes, I can see you. You knew it was going to end badly and It did. The things you either knew about this guy, or were able to sense by his mannerisms and communications, were actually selling points to her.

There’s a reason the vocal minority of women who are incredibly invested in this latest controversy also are conflating intimate partner violence with random chance to spread suspicion amongst all men. They’re attracted to red flags and are trying to absolve themselves of poor decision making.

Listen to the below audio clip obtained by Journalist Jonathan Choe. In this three minute voice clip sent to a friend by Liliya Guyvoronsky, she details why she has not left a toxic relationship. She gives plenty of good reasons for why she wants to leave that relationship, but listen to the reason why she hasn’t left. Now please understand that she is dead.

Liliya details many red flags about this person as reasons why she wants to leave, but the reason why she stayed is horrifying. She was emotionally invested in quite arguably the worst thing about this person. He would role play sex trafficking her, and she was so intrigued by the disturbing role play and she wanted to know what would happen next. Next she was murdered.

Is it Liliya’s fault she was murdered? No. Is her murderer, James McNeal responsible for her death? Yes. Would Liliya still be alive if she were smarter? Also yes.

Do not absolve yourselves of poor decision making. Two things can be true.

If there is one thing Twitter has become since Elon Musk’s takeover of the company, it’s entertaining. Musk reinstated popular accounts with large followings that had previously been suspended. This included former President Donald Trump, though he has yet to use it again. Musk has also prioritized the removal of child sexual exploitation material, calling it his #1 priority.

Musk as well made good on a promise to bring about more transparency to Twitter. He gave journalists Matt Taibbi and Bari Weiss access to all of the internal communications regarding the suppression of the Hunter Biden laptop story.

The day before the bombshell report by Matt Taibbi, I tweeted a reply to Elon Musk requesting my previous suspended account, as well as a few friends who have been suspended for dubious reasons to have our accounts reinstated. This included my prior account Guy Squiggs, as well as Joshua Smith, the Vice Chairman of the Libertarian Party.

Taibbi’s report the following day was as shocking as it was entertaining. Elon Musk has his own spin on Occam’s Razor, the law stating that the simplest explanation is the most likely. Elon’s Razor, on the other hand, states that the most entertaining outcome is the most likely. Elon’s Razor proved accurate, as tweet #8 in Taibbi’s 36 tweet long report especially stood out to me. I, Guy Squiggs, was in that tweet. Of course I was.

In this tweet the world saw my previous account being “requested for review” by the Biden Campaign, and then being “handled.” Musk himself responded to this particular tweet asking, “If this isn’t a violation of the Constitution’s First Amendment, what is?” Then in the next tweet we learned that the same thing had happened to actor James Woods. He appeared on Tucker Carlson’s show vowing to file a lawsuit, and I will be closely paying attention.

Large Twitter accounts such as Scott Presler and Libs of TikTok were sharing screenshots of my old account which has been permanently suspended for about two years now. This disclosure for Taibbi might possibly be providing context for that suspension.

This all began on October 14th 2020, when New York Post published a bombshell exposé revealing emails recovered on a laptop that belonged to Hunter Biden. Both Twitter and Facebook heavily throttled the story and prevented it from being spread, and Twitter took the extraordinary step of locking New York Post from its Twitter account.

Twitter cited a “hacked materials” policy, but Taibbi revealed that Twitter executives didn’t believe that reason would hold up. The materials published were no longer the property of Hunter Biden, so his consent is no longer needed. They were the property of the repair shop he abandoned the laptop at, whose owner willfully turned over this material.

Following the censorship of New York Post, with the corporate mainstream media claiming the story was Russian disinformation, I set out looking for leaks of this material. Many photos from the laptop were leaked on Parler, where I spent an unfortunate amount of time looking at Hunter Biden’s nudes so you don’t have to. One photo however really alarmed me, which I censored and shared to Twitter. This tweet can be viewed in its original integrity in the archives on wayback, despite the account being suspended.

The photo, like many released on Parler, showed Hunter exposing himself (which was censored prior to being posted on Twitter). Behind Hunter however was a balcony where a girl was sitting. She appeared to be young, but the question was how young? That was the question, and that was the tweet’s entire purpose. This was the tweet that the Biden campaign requested to be removed. It’s also still a question I think is worth an answer.

While I have always wanted my old account back, now I heavily desire its return as it is part of a profound moment in history. That account vindicates everything conservatives believed was happening against them, but only up until now could be proven. I understand that the mass reinstatement of accounts is a work in progress, but I would humbly beg Twitter to reinstate the accounts listed in my pinned tweet. I also will eagerly be paying attention to any steps James Woods takes.

It’s happened. You’ve caught the Monkeypox. Blisters and bubbles are popping up all over your body, and there’s nothing you can do about it. You’re in trouble now, mister. She’s going to find out, and she’s not going to take it well either.

You may have to stand firm in your resolve with a phrase like, “TECHNICALLY, you can get monkeypox without having sex with other men!” Repeat and clap your hands in between words if needed.

But if that doesn’t work, we’ve got a couple of last ditch efforts you can try.

It’s not Monkeypox; It’s actually Leprosy

This is a play that probably guarantees you some space if it works. 95% of the population is immune to leprosy, so you might be able to squeak by with this explanation, while keeping your wife at arm’s length. You only get one try claiming it’s not Monkeypox, and this one is your best bet.

You were bitten by a radioactive monkey

Science has definitely gone too far. An escaped radioactive monkey was on the loose, and it bit you on your way to your car. The Monkeypox is temporary, but tell her to hold tight for the super powers that are sure to follow.

Your shoe fell off and you stepped on a syringe

It only takes a split second for everything to go wrong. Your shoe fell off and there was a syringe right on your next footstep. Who could have known? Apparently that rig had been used to shoot heroin by someone who was infected with Monkeypox. You can follow up with telling her you’re being tested for other bloodborne pathogens that may have been on that needle.

A homeless voodoo shaman witch doctor guy put a curse on you

You were walking to your car in the grocery store parking lot when a homeless guy asked you for spare change. You said no and kept on walking. But this wasn’t just an ordinary homeless guy. This was a homeless voodoo shaman witch doctor guy. He waved his hands at you, making unintelligible sounds which appeared to be some form of an incantation. Then these bumps began appearing on your body later in the day. You have every intention of returning to the grocery store to find this homeless voodoo shaman witch doctor guy so you can give him a dollar to lift the curse. Who knew this sort of thing was real?

You were the victim of a bioterrorism attack

Just another morning on the subway turned out to be anything but. A suspicious backpack apparently left under your seat contained a canister that was filled with the Monkeypox virus.  The canister exploded and released an airborne Monkeypox agent that was impossible not to breathe in. This new variant of Monkeypox, called Monkeycron-1, is actually transmissible by air. This is by design, and the work of bioterrorists. Terrible people in this world!

The assassination of former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe stunned the world. Abe, a beloved figure in Japan took over the reigns from his predecessor Koizumi, whose actions following the great Tohoku Quake appeared inadequate to voters. Abe quickly went to work restoring that region of Japan.

Abe would also become famous for his ‘Abenomics’ economic policies which lifted the Japanese economy from an unhealthy level of deflation.

The Left’s go-to narrative of gun control couldn’t play out here as Japan has the strictest gun control in the world, and the gun used to assassinate Abe was a crudely constructed Zip Gun made from hardware store parts.

In lieu of a working gun control narrative, leftwing media resorted to their next best narrative. Abe and Trump were pals.

Trump wanted America to have a smaller footprint in Japan’s national defense, whereas Abe wanted Japan to have a larger footprint in Japan’s national defense. Abe was able to read Trump. When Trump visited Japan for the first time in his Presidency, Abe largely skipped the traditions and took Trump to the best burger restaurant in Tokyo.

An alliance hat was made on this trip, which was signed by both Trump and Abe.

Get your own replica of this iconic friendship hat at the AP4Liberty store.

But the left just can’t help themselves. They can’t not piss on something or dance on a grave where they think they’re going to score a point.

Take NPR for example, a supposedly neutral American media outlet which is [wrongfully] funded through American tax dollars.

They simply cannot help themselves. A very non-divisive leader like Abe, is painted as divisive to American audiences because NPR simply cannot stand that Abe had a good relationship with Trump, and that the strong alliance between Japan and America was further strengthened under the Trump Administration. So instead of objective journalism, they choose to lie to you for clicks.

Why are we funding them?

Eric July, vocalist for Backwordz and host of For Canon’s Sake has been working to build a new empire. Having long felt that the comic book industry has been stumbling down the wrong path, July has entered the scene and is trailblazing a new one.

His first comic book, ISOM, is ready for mass production under his new company Rippaverse Publishing. Rather than trying to crowdfund the creation of an idea, July put this idea together to have the product ready to send out. The massive event was more of a Grand Opening than a crowdfunding event, but with the revenue results mirroring that of a highly successful crowdfunding.

The day prior to the launch of Rippaverse, July released a teaser video. Watch it below:

The campaign goal was to generate an ambitious $100,000 in revenue over the course of 75 days. So how did the campaign do on its first day?

The revenue generated in the first hour was double the entire campaign goal. $200,000 in the first hour.

By the third hour, Rippaverse had half a million dollars in sales.

As of this writing, Rippaverse is closing in on $1 million, having generated $800,000 so far on their first day.

Despite the overwhelming success, the day didn’t exactly go off without a hitch. Due to the unprecedented demand, the servers experienced traffic issues and people reported receiving errors throughout the process. The Rippaverse team quickly worked to resolve these issues.

Due to these issues, Rippaverse is making their two limited edition covers available through Friday July 15th. After these are gone, the rest will be printed with a yet to be revealed standard cover. So if you want one of the two limited edition covers, act soon!

Eric July and the Rippaverse have seemingly had a correct pulse on the fandom in comic industry. Who is Isom? Who is Yaira? We don’t know yet. These aren’t characters that we’ve built any connection with or have an attachment to. The event was a huge success nonetheless, because these characters are new and original in an industry plagued by rehashes and reboots.

Everyone’s favorite characters have been changed or modernized, trying to bring them in line with societal dogma of today. In turn those characters have had their identities erased. There’s nothing special about them anymore. They’re no longer super heroes, but rather super conformers. There is nothing authentic or believable about them anymore.

The Rippaverse has uncovered the appetite for something new and bold. They correctly knew this sentiment existed, but perhaps they didn’t quite know how right they were and how strongly it would resonate. They’ve certainly got their work cut out for them now, but they wouldn’t have it any other way.

UPDATE: The campaign crossed $1 Million early in the second day of the campaign. Watch Eric July’s video below.

Downtown Seattle is experiencing a homeless crisis. One solution that the city has turned to has been Tiny House Villages (with homes that look like small Home Depot Sheds, but probably much more expensive). Yet, the problem is that these villages are apparently not well managed.

Neighboring businesses have been complaining about residents dumping their trash by their dumpsters. Other residents have been complaining about the villages being overrun with hoarded bicycles (when each unit is only allowed one).

KOMO News 4’s Jonathan Choe spoke to Sharon Lee, Executive Director at the Low Income Housing Institute about the villages.

When asked about the excessive trash and bicycle problem, Lee stated that Choe was not being fair, that he was being nasty, and that she wanted to talk to his manager.

Watch the KOMO clip below:
