There was even a petition started on Change.org in support of trying to get Crayola to remove ‘negro’ from its black Crayon.

How tone deaf have American social justice warriors become when they now can’t distinguish between legitimate examples of racism within society and the Spanish language?

Negro translates to black in Spanish. It’s not derogatory or offensive to say the color black. This behavior is a prime example of when outrage crosses with ignorance. According to languagemagazine.com, as of 2019, Spanish is spoken by 580 million people worldwide, which makes up 7.6% of the world’s total population. Langauagemagazne.com also reported that the language is studied by almost 22 million people in 110 countries and is the third most used language on the internet.

Crayola is a global company and makes crayons for people around the world, not just English speakers. The company even joined in the conversation on Twitter in an attempt to enlighten the outraged SJWs.

“With Crayola products sold in more than 80 countries and packaged in 12 different languages, Crayola is very much a global company. The word “negro” appears along with the words “black” and “noir” because it is the literal Spanish translation of the word black,” Crayola tweeted.

This outrage is based on nothing but pure ignorance of the Spanish language and the culture of the people around the world who speak it. It should also be said that it appears racist and exclusionary to want to remove a word from a product just because a group of people are enraged by a language they don’t understand. It is ironic that someone on the political left would scream about the need for inclusion and diversity in American society and then in the same breath say that the Spanish word for black should be removed from a crayon because it looks like the N-word.

There is a saying that leftists care about every form of  diversity except for diversity of thought.  However, this should serve as proof that they really couldn’t care less about any form of diversity and only want to use talk of these things to attempt to win over the votes of minorities every election cycle.

If SJW’s gave a crap about multiculturalism, you’d think they would spend more time learning basic cultural differences instead of claiming a language is racist just because it is similar to a derogatory word.

My message to all Spanish-speaking people in America is simple. If the same folks who claim to care about your background want to remove your native tongue from a crayon, don’t think for one minute that they care about you, the interests of your community, or your well-being.

As a freedom-loving American, it is my conviction that multiculturism is part of what makes this country great and unique among all the other nations of the world. Attempting to censor an individual’s language for any reason is wrong and not in line with the values of a country that was founded on the ideas of individualism and free speech, much less on the basis of ignorance and false assumption of bigotry.

There seems to be no sign that Crayola will bow to the “woke” mob anytime soon, which is good news.

Perhaps those offended that Spanish will not be taken off of Crayola’s ‘negro’ Crayon would be a lot better off if they would spend a little more time being culturally informed instead of showing the blackness in their own hearts toward a group of people whose language they do not understand.

If education doesn’t triumph over blind ignorance and hatred, we will have soon have much darker things to contend with than the word for a color on the back of a Crayon.

Another one bites the dust as the latest stop on free speech activist Milo Yiannopoulos’s college tour bends to the will of the vocal minority protest voices on its campus and cancels a previously planned speaking event for Yiannopoulos.

The disinvitation came merely a half-hour before the scheduled event– after the speakers were already on campus and preparing to take the stage.

According to Fox News:

Speeches by far-right commentator Milo Yiannopoulos and former pharmaceutical executive Martin Shkreli were canceled Friday night after heated protests erupted at the University of California, Davis.

University police put up barricades as protesters shouting “shut it down” grew increasingly rowdy in the hours leading up to the talks. The UC Davis College Republicans, who sponsored the event, chose to cancel about a half-hour before the event began.

Yiannopoulos, who writes for right-wing Breitbart News and is permanently banned from Twitter after leading a harassment campaign against “Ghostbusters” actress Leslie Jones, said on his Facebook page that the event was canceled after “violence from left-wing protesters.”

Ivy League Students Tear Down Shakespeare Portrait In Name Of Diversity

Students at the University of Pennsylvania (Penn) have removed a portrait of William Shakespeare and replaced it with a picture of a black, lesbian poet for the sake of having greater diversity.

The large Shakespeare portrait had resided near a staircase in Fisher-Bennett Hall for years, until a gaggle of activist students removed it and placed it in the office of English department head Jed Esty. In its place, they taped up a photograph of Audre Lorde.

The portrait won’t be moved back, according to a statement from Esty, because as a white male, Shakespeare didn’t embody the value of diversity. (RELATED: Teacher Says She Won’t Teach Shakespeare Because He’s White)

“Students removed the Shakespeare portrait and delivered it to my office as a way of affirming their commitment to a more inclusive mission for the English department,” Esty told The Daily Pennsylvanian.

Penn’s English department had actually voted on its own to remove Shakespeare’s portrait years ago, but despite the vote no action was taken. Now, Esty says the Lorde photo won’t be removed until the department can decide what should be done long-term.

“We invite everyone to join us in the task of critical thinking about the changing nature of authorship, the history of language, and the political life of symbols,” Esty said in a statement.

Junior English major Mike Benz praised the stunt of tearing down Shakespeare, telling the Pennsylvanian it was a “cool example of culture jamming,” and pushed back against the unwelcome dominance of European ideas in college curricula.

Many on Tuesday called the election a choice between the lesser of two evils, and that it was. However, the selections were not Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton. Rather, it was a much more fundamental debate: unabashed straightforwardness and expression of unease with drastic social change; or feelings of elitism and intolerance toward those who dare question the aforementioned “progress.”

Over the last several years, so-called “social justice warriors (SJWs)” have taken control of the American left, particularly among younger demographics. These individuals were bred on feelings of tolerance; however, that positive sentiment quickly disintegrated upon the successes of their causes. Much like the French Revolution, these crusaders became that which they actually despised upon taking control of society.

Rather than shaming gay Americans “into the closet” as many had done in previous eras, these SJWs discouraged provocative discourse which could “trigger” uneasy listeners. Instead of black Americans being urged to use segregated drinking fountains, students urged colleges to open “safe spaces” wherein individuals could be free from improper use of pronouns.

In addition, any questioning of these protocols was met with lofty allegations of racism, sexism, transphobia, and xenophobia. Most notably, these titles were freely thrown at nearly all conservatives and Republicans, even those as mild-mannered as John McCain and Mitt Romney. Therefore, when again attempting to label Trump as such, the words didn’t sting as much as they would have otherwise. In many ways, it was like the “boy who cried wolf.”

How, then, did those in disagreement express their displeasure with the status quo? They didn’t tell pollsters or perhaps even their family or friends. They just voted to the person who would “make America great again.”

A new petition has begun online which demands that a British supermarket called Asda stop selling children’s shirts depicting a snowman with the caption “I’m having a meltdown.” Protesters suggest that this phraseology is insensitive to the mentally ill. The pleading states:

Last year Asda showed how little they care for people suffering mental health conditions with this cruel joke of a Halloween costume.

We complained and campaigned in our thousands and it was removed from sale.

This year they’re using children’s Christmas themed clothing to make fun out of peoples suffering, with this poorly thought out and down right mean t shirt slogan “I’m having a melt down”. 

Anyone suffering with ASD and similar spectrum disorders or mental health conditions that involve having melt downs as a symptom deserve understanding and acceptance.

They/we do NOT deserve to be made fun of.

Under equalities act 2010, disability is a ” protected characteristic ” we put out to Asda that they’re breaking the guidelines set out with this awful slogan.

We request that all stock be immediately removed from shelves, without question or hesitation.

The petition thus far has 241 signers with a stated goal of 500 signatures. In addition, the director of external affairs at the UK’s National Autistic Society also expressed dismay, stating, “Autistic children and adults can struggle with loud noises, strong smells, bright lights and new places and become completely overwhelmed. This can mean people lose control of their behaviour – a lot of families and people on the autism spectrum call this a ‘meltdown’ or ‘shutdown,'”

A theater group at the University of Bristol was recently forced to cancel its production of Aida amidst complaints that it used mostly white actors to portray characters who are African and Egyptian. This led to accusations of cultural appropriation and “white-washing” by some.

One student complained, “It’s quite simple, really: if you are going to put on a production set in a particular place with a particular cultural context, then you need to reflect that with the ethnicity of actors.”

Aida centers around an Ethiopian princess who is held prisoner in Egypt, where she serves as a slave before falling in love with an Egyptian general. The theater said in a statement:

It is with great sadness that we are announcing the cancellation of Aida in this year’s MTB show calendar. This show that was voted in by our members has since caused controversy in terms of racial diversity. . . .It is a great shame that we have had to cancel this show as, of course, we would not want to cause offence in any way, and that was certainly never our intention. Our intention was to tell this story, one which surely is better heard than not performed at all.

The politically correct have struck again, and this time at a level of such hypersensitivity that the “oppressed victim” in need of help was an inanimate object. Just when we thought the political controversy surrounding baked goods stopped at religious freedom and gay wedding cakes, we have been proved wrong. That’s because now a third grader’s comments about the classic sweet treats, brownies, has him and his family in hot water.

The Philadelphia Inquirer reports it all began this past month of June at the William P. Tatem Elementary School in Collingswood, New Jersey, during an end of the year class party. During which a nine-year-old student (name withheld) began commenting on the brownies, one of multiple snacks and refreshments likely provided. He was soon overhead by his teacher who interpreted these comments as racist and went on to report the student to the school’s administration who ultimately notified the local police.

The mother of the child, Stacy Dos Santos, went on to say, “He was intimidated, obviously. There was a police officer with a gun in the holster talking to my son, saying, ‘Tell me what you said.’ He didn’t have anybody on his side.”

This wasn’t the first over reaction by a school in this district this past month either. Apparently a change in school district policy during the month of May has lead to increased cooperation with the local authorities, and to add insult to injury, Collingswood Police Chief Kevin Carey said that schools have been prompted to report “just about every incident” to the New Jersey Division of Child Protection and Permanency.

As disappointing as this incident is; has it really come as a surprise? After all, public school systems across America have already been reporting the likes of Pop-Tart guns to the authorities. Food is just so triggering. I guess we now just sit and wait for members of the left to advocate for food free zones in cafeteria’s across America in their relentless quest for social justice. It sounds ridiculous, but in today’s world that just makes it all the more likely.

This week comedian and conservative activist Steven Crowder, joined Milo Yiannopolous and Christina Hoff Sommers for a panel discussion regarding the “political correctness” of the regressive left.

The event was called “The Triggering,” and what transpired certainly lived up to the name. As soon as the panel started with Milo stating “Feminism is cancer,” triggered leftist protesters sought to disrupt the event by shouting down the next speaker, Christina Hoff Sommers.

When it was finally Crowder’s turn to take center stage, he decided to use his time to make an example of the leftist protesters and their behavior. Springing up from his chair with gusto, he dressed down the moody college kids in a hilarious and quite insulting fashion by matching their outrage with his own.

So, sit back, grab some popcorn laced with butter or your drug of choice, and enjoy the show—that is, if your virgin ears can take it:

Milo Yiannopoulus, Christina Hoff Sommers, and Steven Crowder recently descended on the University of Massachusetts armed to the teeth with vicious rhetoric and even, dare I say, facts.

Their enemy was clear: political correctness and the “regressive” left.

And now that the smoke has cleared from the battlefield, the reputations of UMass’s social justice warriors litter the field as defeated, mangled corpses. However, the manner of their defeat is quite peculiar. Culture war reporters on the scene have captured a strange phenomenon—many of the lethal wounds on these dead bodies appear to be self-inflicted.

Apparently, just as Milo and friends sounded their battle horn and started to march towards the fray, many SJW’s started shooting themselves in the foot, sticking those feet in their mouths, only to then shoot them out along with their brains.

The team of anti-PC panelists seemed baffled yet pleased. The SJW’s were proving their point—that is, launch a wee bit of invective at the left and witness an utter shit show of half-baked slogans, shouting, and all others varieties of temper tantrums.

In particular, witness this fit of paroxysms while Christina Hoff Sommers was speaking:

As Hoff Sommers says, this sort of stuff is “utter madness.”

Luckily, such madness is self-defeating when confronted.

They may not yet be the present, but they’re certainly the future. These young, uninitiated minds will someday soon become our politicians, doctors, scientists, chefs, television producers, fashion designers, manufacturers, and, one would hope, the new proponents of liberty. But are they ready for it?

Time after time, particularly on college campuses, millennials have proven to be little more than entitled, spoiled, anti-intellectual brats who place far too much emphasis on feelings and nowhere near enough emphasis on critical thinking. To the millennial, words are cause for the creation of safe spaces, alternative ideas must be stifled, and anything they perceive to be a microaggression is enough to send them spiraling into a state of mental distress.

It’s time millennials understood these 7 harsh realities of life so we don’t end up with a generation of gutless adult babies running the show.
