Twitter is refusing to address whether a tweet by Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James violated the platform’s terms of service.

James tweeted, then deleted, a picture Wednesday of Ohio police officer Nicholas Reardon who shot 16-year-old Ma’Khia Bryant as she attempted to stab another girl, body cam footage showed.

“YOU’RE NEXT,” James tweeted to his millions of followers with the hashtag #ACCOUNTABILITY. He has since deleted the tweet.

The Daily Caller News Foundation began asking Twitter whether the tweet violated the platform’s terms of service around 4:20 p.m. Wednesday. Twitter did not respond to the DCNF’s request before James deleted the tweet around 4:45 p.m. Wednesday.

Twitter’s policy warns that users may “not engage in the targeted harassment of someone, or incite other people to do so.” “This includes wishing or hoping that someone experiences physical harm.”

Twitter spokesman Trenton Kennedy told the DCNF Thursday morning that “our teams do not evaluate Tweets that have been removed.”

Kennedy did not return a further request for comment from the DCNF noting that the tweet was up for over an hour and garnered tens of thousands of likes and retweets. James has almost 50,00,000 followers.

The social media platform locked the New York Post out of its account in October after it published a report on alleged emails from Hunter Biden’s laptop that allegedly showed Hunter and his father, president-elect Joe Biden, met with an executive from the Ukrainian gas company Burisma in 2015.

Twitter also censored the story on its platform, prevented users from tweeting or sending the link, and locked the accounts of a number of high-profile Twitter users, such as former White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany, who attempted to post the link.

The social media platform also repeatedly censored former President Donald Trump’s tweets during the 2020 presidential election with the caption: “Some or all of the content shared in this Tweet is disputed and might be misleading about an election or other civic process.”

Twitter’s silence comes amid massive media misinformation on 16-year-old Bryant’s death.

Media outlets and public figures immediately reported Tuesday afternoon that police had killed an unarmed girl, though body camera footage from the incident showed Bryant pushing one woman down on the sidewalk before swinging a knife at a different woman.

Police shot Bryant multiple times after they repeatedly told her to “get down.”

Twitter itself sparked a backlash through its description of Bryant’s death in a Wednesday Twitter Moment that made no mention of the fact that Bryant had a knife and was attempting to stab another black woman.

Twitter did not immediately respond to a request for comment from the DCNF on why it did not include the full picture surrounding Bryant’s death.

A Salt Lake City police officer who directed his K-9 to attack a black man who had his hands up was charged with aggravated assault Wednesday, the New York Post reported.

Jeffery Ryans, 36, was attacked by officer Nickolas Pearce’s K-9 on April 24, the Post reported. Pearce was charged with second-degree felony aggravated assault by the Salt Lake County District Attorney’s Office after The Salt Lake Tribune published body camera footage of the incident.

Ryans “wasn’t resisting arrest,” Salt Lake County District Attorney Sim Gill said, the Tribune reported. “He certainly wasn’t posing an imminent threat of violence or harm to anyone and he certainly wasn’t concealed. He was fenced in an area and was being compliant.”

Police responded to a 911 call from Ryans’s daughter, according to the Post. She said on the call that Ryans was screaming at and had hit her mother, according to the Post.

Officers were arresting Ryans for violating a protective order issued in December 2019 that prohibited him from being at the home, the Tribune reported. Ryans’s wife reportedly told him that the order had been lifted, so he had moved back in before the incident.

Officers reportedly found him smoking a cigarette in the backyard.

Pearce told Ryans to “get on the ground or you’re going to get bit,” while Ryans knelt to the ground with his hands up in the air, body camera footage shows.

“I’m on the ground! Why are you biting me?” Ryans asked the officer, video shows. Pearce can be heard praising the K-9 named Turco, video shows.

“Why are you guys — ow, what the fuck!? Holy shit!” Ryans said, video shows. “Why the fuck are you biting me!”

Ryans faces charges of domestic assault following the incident, according to the Post.

Pearce said he thought Ryans was gearing up to fight, so he ordered the K-9 to attack, the Tribune reported. The city’s Civilian Review Board found that Pearce violated policy during the incident because Ryans did not try to stand or climb the fence in the video.

Pearce faces up to 15 years in prison if he is convicted, the Tribune reported.

An Oregon 18-year-old tried to rob a taxi at gunpoint, but was shot with his own firearm after a struggle for the weapon ensued Tuesday, according to local police.

Josiah Johnson allegedly pointed a duct-taped handgun behind the cab driver’s head after the teenager tried to pay for his trip with a counterfeit $100 bill, according to a media release from the Washington County Sheriff’s Office. The driver, who was not identified by police, attempted to disarm Johnson, but the gun fired, striking the alleged thief, according to the release.

The bullet entered Johnson’s hip and exited out of his buttocks, police said. The pair left the vehicle and the struggle continued until the driver tossed the gun away from the alleged thief and bystanders helped to hold the teen down, authorities said.

Deputies arrested Johnson shortly after the incident and he was charged with first-degree robbery, fourth-degree assault, menacing, unlawful use of a weapon, criminal possession of a forged instrument and possession of a schedule IV substance, according to the release.

The sheriff’s office in a tweet released a mugshot of Johnson and an image of what appears to be a makeshift Smith and Wesson Bodyguard .380 handgun with black duct tape holding together an extended magazine.

Actually, they love Cops.

Seattle is the site of the CHAZ/CHOP zone, where protesters took over several city blocks of Capitol Hill, widely known as the Gay District—and during Pride Month nonetheless. Many Seattleites on the Left have been supportive of this movement, with Seattle’s Mayor Jenny Durkan defending it from Trump’s Twitter ire, where she referred to it as a “Summer of Love.”

During this takeover, protesters took over the Seattle East Police Precinct, forcing the police out. This zone appears to have developed a Jekyll and Hyde disorder, with a relatively calm and festive demeanor during the day, but violence by night. Mayor Durkan has now announced her intentions for the police to take back the East Precinct following three separate overnight shootings in less than a week. 

Protesters kept the police out of their zone following these shootings, and in each case ultimately transported the victims to Harborview Medical Center down the street by private vehicle. Yet, these protesters have remained upset that the medics would not come into CHAZ/CHOP to treat and transport the victim. Of course, it shouldn’t take a whole lot of forward thinking to understand why medics require police protection when going into a violent crime scene where a shooter is still on the loose and there’s no guarantee more shooting won’t erupt. But, here we are.

I couldn’t help but notice some striking similarities as well as differences between CHAZ/CHOP and the armed occupation of the Malheur Wildlife Refuge in Oregon by Ammon Bundy. 

It was similar because it was a protest of perceived unfairness in regard to criminal justice. It began when rancher Dwight Hammond started prescribed burns (a common practice of spurring new and fresh grass growth) on his own ranch land. It spread to the neighboring land owned by the Federal Government and managed by the Bureau of Land Management, who manage 2 pieces of land on either side of Hammond. While Hammond extinguished it, it’s also highly arguable that the Government benefited from it as their neighboring grazing land was likely in the same condition. 

Yet, the Federal Government prosecuted Hammond, and he was sent to prison. But that’s not what spurred Malheur. 

After Hammond was released, the Federal Government appealed his sentencing, claiming he hadn’t served enough time. The appeals judge sided with the Government, and Hammond was rearrested and sent to jail again, to serve a longer sentence for the same crime. That was the catalyst for Malheur. It was largely believed that the Bureau of Land Management wanted his land that sat between their 2 pieces, and was hoping to force him to sell.

Yet, it was different as the Malheur refuge was public property as opposed to private property, and never interfered with anyone’s livelihoods, homes or businesses.

It was similar as guns were involved along the perimeter, and law enforcement was to be kept out.

Yet, it was different as the Left called them treasonous and hoped for them to be massacred. They applauded the execution of LaVoy Finicum, who was run off the road and shot dead by the Feds while enroute in good faith to a meeting with local government.

Yes, they loved this. They love Cops.

Year after year, these same Leftists in Seattle who have promoted the ACAB phrase, have also voted for tougher gun laws. Every year like clockwork they cry,” we have to do something,” —as if they didn’t just do that the year before, and the year before. Banning streamlined private sales, enacting Red Flag Laws, and scapegoating the mentally ill who generally aren’t all that violent to begin with, Leftists love police enforcement.

In Snohomish County in Washington State, one county north of Seattle’s King County, Leftists have started a recall effort against Sheriff Adam Fortney, who refused to enforce the closing of businesses. They’re upset that police weren’t using heavy hands. These are also the same people who turned in businesses and neighbors to the state’s snitch site, which eventually was made public.

This week Washington’s Governor Jay Inslee issued an emergency directive requiring the use of masks in public in situations where six feet of social distancing cannot be maintained. Washington’s ACAB Leftists applauded this, which made non compliance a misdemeanor offense. To be enforced by police.

The Leftists who have latched onto the “All Cops Are Bastards” line are the same ones who continually create and pass new initiatives that require more police enforcement. They expect these to be enforced. They love it when these are enforced. They hate police who refuse to enforce what their causes are against people they don’t like, but they sure love it when police execute the people they don’t like.

I’m a fan of less policing, especially of non-violent crimes, but government social workers aren’t going to fill that void where violent crimes exist. Defunding the police would require a culture change of non-violence and a respect for private property. Leftists appear to be doubling down on a culture war that works counter to that. 

Ultimately, their only desire is for Cops to enforce their side upon those they dislike. If it weren’t for double standards, the Left wouldn’t have standards at all

The officer, Greg Anderson, stated in the video that he is a Special Forces Veteran. 

The video was a plea to other officers to uphold their oaths to The Constitution, and imploring other officers around the country to not enforce draconian orders. He cited several examples in his video of ordinary citizens being arrested during the COVID-19 lockdowns.

To the reason for your visit to our site, Officer Greg Anderson is on paid administrative leave while we look into allegations that he violated our policy on the use of social media.  I hired Greg, and he and I have always had a mutually respectful relationship. That respect continues to this day. He is clearly a good police officer and an exceptional American. That said, as a police officer wearing one of our uniforms, his right to speech has limitations on which he has been well-trained and that he has understood since joining the policing profession.   Greg has always had the ability to express his opinions on what is going on in the country like all other Americans. For 43 years I have served in the law enforcement profession and plan to do so for a couple of more years.  I have been proud to serve alongside heroes throughout my career. I work with over 120 of them right now at the Port of Seattle Police Department.  But another 20 of my heroes have their names on the walls of the Peace Officer Memorials in Washington, DC and in Phoenix, AZ where I served 32 years with the Arizona State Patrol.  These men were my colleagues….they were my friends. This week is National Police Week and Friday, May 15th is National Peace Officers Memorial Day. While you stand up for Greg this week, please take time to also remember all of the heroes that have given their lives while serving and protecting others.

It is sad that we have become such a divided country because if you got to know me and the men and women working in our police department, you would find that in many ways we are probably not that different.  In my case, the one main way that we are different is that I have the responsibility to make sure that all of my officers do what we all signed up to do which is to protect and serve all Americans. And to do it while adhering to our training and our policies – all of them.

With all due respect Chief Rodney, perhaps we are such a divided country because no good deed goes unpunished, and that couldn’t be a truer statement in this case. Punishing a good officer for taking their oath to The Constitution seriously is the most divisive thing possible. The “20 heroes” you cited who have their names on the wall should be rolling in their graves.

Bundy is known for his anti-government overreach clashes at both the Bundy Ranch in Nevada, as well as the Malheur Wildlife Refuge in Oregon. Both standoffs were at gunpoint.

A play protest had taken place at the closed playground, where a number of families took their children to play, in protest of the playground being closed. They cited that it was likely safer than being in a supermarket. They also questioned why only the playground was closed while the rest of the park was open.

The mom who asked the most questions was arrested in front of her children.

It’s worth noting that while the mom said, “go ahead and arrest me,” that’s not actually an arrestable crime. A crime or conspiracy to commit a crime is needed, and she was ultimately arrested for not dispersing from the playground in the public park. Defiance isn’t a crime, especially when you’re not resisting arrest (let alone doing the opposite).

Later on, protesters showed up outside the residence of the arresting officer, along with Ammon Bundy to petition for a redress of grievances. A line of officers were standing outside of the home.

As Bundy delivered the petition, he loudly declared:

“The people will not allow you guys to do this for very long. You will not go into parks and arrest people. You will not go into parks and arrest mothers, or you will not go anywhere, and arrest us for exercising what our rights are. You do not have that right. You have limitations. We will not sit by idle while you guys arrest people in parks, or in churches, or in their places of work. We will not allow that to happen. It just can not happen. We will not go back to where we came from in this country. We will not go back to that. And that’s what is happening here. Whether you want to acknowledge it or not, that is what is happening.”

A police officer shot and killed a knife-wielding attacker who murdered four officers at the Paris police headquarters Thursday, according to a French union official.

The attacker worked at the police headquarters located near Notre Dame Cathedral for more than 20 years as an administrative employee, Alliance Police Nationale union official Loïc Travers said, The New York Times reported.

“The motive is not yet known,” Travers said, according to The NYT.

Travers said he cannot remember an attack on police officers of this magnitude, The Associated Press reported.

French President Emmanuel Macron visited the headquarters Thursday to show solidarity and support for the officers, AP reported.

The attack came one day after tens of thousands of police took to the streets in protest of poor working conditions, lack of public respect and several police suicides that happened this year, The NYT reported.
