It’s difficult to characterize the decision-making process of the Biden administration. Nothing makes sense— not Biden fumbling his words reading a teleprompter, the opening of our southern border for all to enter without proof of identity or health status, there is no inflation, the wacky surrender of Afghanistan, constantly changing mask mandates, propaganda telling us “All is fine,” while labeling our founding documents as “offensive.” Biden and his sycophant minions appear to be surreal characters in a seemingly illogical plot filled with nonsensical dialogue that is plunging the U.S. into meaningless chaos.

The only word that describes the Biden administration is “absurd.” We have a “Government of the Absurd.”

The U.S. government spins its every statement in the hope citizens believe what is not true. Its political language is doublespeak. Words used by politicians no longer have meaning. There is no longer any communication between us and those running our government.

With 338 million people in the U.S., we elected a man described as “Sleepy Joe Biden.” He is gaffe-prone— decades of gaffes insulting blacks, Indians, women, disabled, to name a few. He also has a lifetime of plagiarism starting with law school papers and continuing onto the Senate floor and presidential campaigns. He refuses to answer questions from the press so he does not embarrass himself. Worse, when he finishes whatever he has to say, he turns his back not only on reporters but the American people as he leaves the room. When he does answer questions on policy matters, e.g., the infrastructure deal with Congress, his staff makes later announcements to “clarify,” i.e., “reverse” his “statements.”

These are his good days. On his bad days, he gets lost walking around the White House. And worse days may come as Russia builds its military forces on the Ukrainian border and China develops a hypersonic missile capable of surprise attack on the U.S.  And, while China patiently waits for the winter Olympics to be over, experts predict it will soon take over Taiwan.

The only person saving Biden from the Constitution’s 25th Amendment (inability to discharge duties of the Office) is his vice president who seems even less “with it” than he. Recent polls find her approval rating at 28%, which is lower than Dick Cheney’s when he was waging war with the world. Even Democrat’s do not support her to run for president in 2024 or ever. Fortunately, for “Cackling Kamala,” she follows Mark Twain’s sage advice, “It is better to keep your mouth shut and appear stupid than to open it and remove all doubt.”

A few of Biden’s policies illustrate his befuddlement in addressing human events.

Afghanistan

Biden secretly withdraws our troops protecting Bagram Air Base without telling the Afghans or our allies, surrenders Afghanistan to the Taliban, and orders the withdrawal of military troops before removing the civilians they are protecting. Biden’s secret withdrawal leaves thousands of Americans and our allies at the mercy of the Taliban. After a public outcry, a day later, he sends troops back to Afghanistan to airlift Americans and Afghan supporters out of the country. The airlift is chaotic, taking anyone the Taliban would let into the airport, not necessarily those who helped us. Biden’s goal is a press release puffing his feat as the biggest airlift in history.

In the middle of the chaos, the Washington Post reports the Taliban offered the U.S. control of the city of Kabul until the Americans left. This offer would have allowed U.S. soldiers to evacuate all Americans and Afghans who wanted out. General McKenzie, with orders from Biden to secure only the airport, refuses the offer and secures only the airport.

These actions are all in addition to leaving tens of billions in equipment for the Taliban; thirteen fallen heroes and several hundred Afghans dead at the airport.

Tony Blair, former prime minister of Great Britain, termed Biden’s withdrawal, “imbecilic.”. Even the Democrat propagandist, The Washington Post, called “This a moral disaster…”

Immigration policy

According to the US Department of State, “the United States accepts more legal immigrants as permanent residents than the rest of the world combined.” The U.S. has thousands of pages of policy on how citizens from other countries can legally enter the U.S. Rather than following U.S. law, the Biden administration abandons all legal procedures and encourages chaotic, illegal, immigration at the southern border.  Biden also puts the entire $53 billion per year cost of food, shelter, health care for up to two million illegals on the American people.

The open border allows immigrants to self-select who will enter the U.S. and empowers drug cartels to determine who they will help immigrate to the U.S.  Also contrary to U.S. criminal law concerning the illegal distribution of drugs in the U.S., the open southern border is a green light for drug smugglers, resulting in a 233% increase in illegal drugs from Mexico, Central America, and China.

Surrenders’ energy dominance

At the end of the Trump administration, the U.S. was the dominant energy producer in the world. Trump embraced expanding the nation’s production of fossil fuels, oil and gas exports to our allies, lower energy prices, drilling on federal lands, and imposed sanctions on Russia’s proposed Nord Stream 2 pipeline to Germany, thereby preventing Russia from selling its oil in Europe.

In Biden’s first days in office, he terminates the Keystone pipeline, and drilling on federal lands, while removing Trump’s sanctions on Russia’s Nord Stream pipeline. Biden so greatly restricts the production of U.S. oil and gas he is forced to beg Saudi Arabia and OPEC to increase production to avoid serious economic disruption. Biden’s cuts in oil and gas production increased the price of gasoline by 40% in seven months. Worse, sanctions on the Russian pipeline allow Russia to enter the European market. If Biden cannot make U.S. energy policy more aburd, he is now, in the middle of high energy prices and less production, considering shutting down the pipeline from Michigan to Canada, which will also directly impact supplies in  Michigan, Ohio, and Pennsylvania, as well as Canada, this winter.

Masks— To wear or not to wear, that is the question!

Biden’s Center for Disease Control (“CDC”) tells us masks are not needed. Then it recommends we all wear masks. Then tells us if we are fully vaccinated, we do not need to wear masks. Then abruptly recommends vaccinated, unvaccinated people, and school children need to wear masks. Finally, Biden orders all federal employees, except postal workers, and employees of large businesses are vaccinated or be fired.

The constantly changing CDC guidance and mask mandates leaves the public confused, irritated and some rebellious, while our great Democrat leaders, who imposed the mask mandates, hit the birthday dinner circuit (Gov. Newsom)’ Obama’s birthday bash;  a $29,000 per person campaign dinner (Speaker Pelosi); a hair salon (Speaker Pelosi); White House events (Speaker Pelosi), and participate in large protests  (Chicago Mayor Lightfoot), all without wearing masks. Most telling is AOC in her white gown, people lifting her dress up a staircase, at the Met Ball, which should be referred to as the Hypocrites Dance. She is not wearing a mask but all the staff and waiters are masked so as not to harm the “dignitaries.” It Seems the government mandates are for us commoners, not the “Big guys” Who always have an excuse for not wearing a mask.

Biden proves his contempt for our dead heroes.

During the solemn ceremonies at Dover Air Force Base where the bodies of the fallen heroes were repatriated, Biden is photographed checking his watch as each body is taken off the plane. A father of one of the heroes stated “In reference to the checking of his watch, that didn’t happen just once. That happened on every single one that came out of that airplane. It happened on every single one of them. They’d release the salute, and he’d look down at his watch – on all 13 he’d look down at his watch.’

When stupidity turns into absurdity!

“The National Archives Records Administration has placed a ‘harmful language alert’ (trigger warnings) on records in the website’s catalog concerning the nation’s founding documents (i.e., the Constitution, Bill of Rights, and Declaration of Independence).”

The NARA statement warns readers our founding documents contain “…some content that may be harmful or difficult to view.”  The language “… may reflect outdated, biased, offensive and possible violent views and opinions.”

When the Constitution of the United States becomes an offensive document to the President of the United States, the person constitutionally responsible for executing the laws of the nation, we certainly have a government of the absurd.

When absurdity turns to killing civilians!

After the wacky surrender in Afghanistan, our fearless commander-in-chief needed to prove his manhood by proving he could take on terrorists. So, from “over the horizon” he launches a drone attack on high-level “state terrorists.” He brags for days how he “took action.” A week later it turns out  Mighty Joe Biden killed at least “10 Afghan civilians, including seven children—but not an Islamic State terrorist.”

The Biden administration is full of surreal characters whose worthless purpose in life is to foster their illusions of self-importance to America.  The beliefs of the president and his advisors, do not correspond to life experienced by Americans.  The Biden administration is a staged event. Nothing about it is real. There is no president. There is only some unknown person behind the screen, huffing and puffing to create the perception America has a president.

Perhaps the Biden administration is not a Government of the Absurd, it is the real Theatre of the Absurd and we have three years more of drama.

Born the white-looking bastard son of a dark-skinned Virginia woman in the segregated ‘50s, I easily identify with Fredi Washington’s “Peola,” a light-skinned lass passing for white, in the 1934 film classic “Imitation of Life.”

“White passing” is a loathsome, offensive phrase. No one is responsible for the physical cues that others take from one’s appearance, and you’re not obligated to sport a sandwich board itemizing your racial breakdown.

Fredi was a strikingly beautiful mulatta and exceptional actress, yet Jim Crow segregation barred her from playing non-black roles. The Chicago Defender quoted her in 1945: “Frankly, I do not ascribe to the stupid theory of white supremacy and to try to hide the fact that I am a Negro for economic or any other reasons. If I do, I would be agreeing to be a Negro makes me inferior.”

By identifying solely as Negro, she did tacitly endorse supremacist ideology’s assertion that one-drop of Negro blood disqualifies one from entering the realm of “pure” whiteness. Yet Fredi had no choice; no mixed-race option existed for her to embrace, and that surely would have led to “Trying to be white!” accusations. White passing charges endure even now, as humanity evolves.

The 2020 Census allowed multiracials to again choose multiple boxes, though the government often collapses those responses to reflect exclusively minority race tabulations. That nuanced application of the “one-drop rule” notwithstanding, latter day Fredi Washingtons, like former actress and British royal Meghan Markle, unflinchingly avail themselves of identity choices independent of the societally imposed black/white binary.

But during the 2020 election, political expediency prohibited Kamala Harris from publicly embracing her Asian heritage, and the media’s current insistence on capitalizing “Black” and “White” reinforces the boundaries between supposedly mutually exclusive races. It’s regressive, part and parcel of a campaign that can best be described as willful resegregation.

Consider ABC’s “mixed-ish 2019 sitcom about an ‘80s interracial couple and their three kids relocating from a hippie commune to suburbia. The parents struggle with their new life’s challenges; their kids negotiate public schooling in which classmates have difficulty pigeonholing them racially. The family’s encounters typify the struggle in finding one’s identity when the larger society can’t determine to which sociopolitical bloc you belong.

The initial episodes entertained; I even chuckled at installment one’s slave ship joke. Considering Mixed-ish is a prequel spin-off of the popular Black-ish, the writers pleasantly surprised by not overly insinuating one-drop commentary into the dialogue — until the third episode’s treatment of “black hair.”

Then, they let loose with what you had to know was coming. The three siblings are unquestionably black, and their desire to wear their hair au naturel is a sign of their black pride.

Academia’s most notorious one-drop devotees, critical race theorists, have scant objection to Mixed-ish, yet a particular Marxist critique on a Facebook group dedicated to positive mixed-race identity caught my eye. Brother Karl would ostensibly view the show not through the lens of an interracial family, but via proletarians abandoning their communalist ideals to embrace a bourgeois lifestyle centered on careerism and consumerism.

America’s problems do primarily manifest along class lines, but neo-Marxists cannot abandon race, to their detriment. They critically reinterpret Marx’s class conflict meditations into one wherein history is primarily the dramatic struggle between colonialist, oppressive white racists and exploited groups “of color.”

After eight years of the first mixed-ish president marginalizing his MulattX heritage and propagating identity politics, enough working class whites perceived Democrats as hostile to their concerns and swung the 2016 election to Donald Trump—who expertly exploited their fears. 45’s inept handling of the COVID-19 epidemic combined with Black Lives Matter’s proletariat insurrection following George Floyd’s murder combined to deny him reelection, though.

The response that BLM’s impressionable disciples cannot rebut is “All Black Lives Should Matter.” Gangbangers kill far more blacks than do white cops, but that doesn’t fit BLM’s narrative. Even considering the significantly fewer incidents of police shooting and killing unarmed minorities, we need to honestly acknowledge the cause-and-effect relationship in play. Some degree of perceived police brutality is more about unacknowledged biases cultivated through overexposure in high crime areas than naked racism.

Narratives outweigh facts, though. Economist and erstwhile Marxist Thomas Sowell argues that progressives have no interest in creating black wealth—only with the imperative to redistribute what exists, e.g. slavery reparations.

Psychological manipulation compelling kneeling and confessing white skin privilege confirms that what many cannot cultivate through the internal work necessary for individual spiritual growth, they attempt to appropriate from others and redistribute to the collective via repugnant guilt-trips.

Blackness and whiteness are both value-neutral, yet for years I wandered in the darkest mental ignorance before discovering that my purpose on this planet was not as a loyal servant to “woke” racial identity politics. Would that Fredi could have realized the same.

Free-market economist Thomas Sowell released a viral video via his YouTube channel in which he debunks a popular Biden/Harris campaign ad in which Kamala Harris discusses basic Marxist economic principles.

“So there’s a big difference between equality and equity. Equality suggests, “Oh, everybody should get the same amount”. The problem with that is not everybody is starting from the same place. So if we are all getting the same amount, but you started out back there, and I started out over here, we can get the same amount, but you’re going to be that far back behind me”

“It’s about giving people the resources and support they need so that everyone can be on equal footing and compete on equal footing. Equitable treatment means we all end up in the same place.”

Thomas Sowell’s video entitled “Thomas Sowell on Kamala Harris’ Communist Video” which premiered Wednesday on his Youtube channel, is comprised of segments from TV appearences in which he dismantles the idea that central planning can guarantee equal outcomes for all people.

“If you can’t get equality among people born to the same parents and born under the same roof, why in the world would you think you are going to get it among people who have had such different histories and cultures around the world?”

“This is any number of one factor explanations as to why everyone doesn’t have the same outcome. One hundred years ago, it was genetics; at other times and places, it was exploitation. But again, these are ideas which sound plausible, but when you do research, you discover that everywhere you turn there are 1,000 reasons why people don’t turn out the same. It goes right down to the family.”

The world-famous economist’s video has gone viral with 267,531 views and around 18K likes since its premiere on Wednesday.

National Socialist and Unite the Right organizer Richard Spencer has taken to Twitter to announce not only his support for Joe Biden, but that he will be voting straight ticket Democrat.

Some people wrote it off as an attempted stunt to discredit Biden, while others claimed Spencer is just trolling.

Some folks replied back to Richard Spencer, stating that they didn’t want him on their team.

But the way I see it, is that the Democrat Party in its current state (of disarray) is a good fit for people like Spencer.

What do I mean when I say that the Democrat Party best supports his values? Obviously, they don’t appear eager to have him. But Spencer voting in favor to advance the Left makes perfect sense. And if you were looking for an article that was about how the KKK was founded by Democrats a long time ago, this ain’t it. I’m talking about right now.

Although for different reasons, the far Left and Richard Spencer want some of the exact same things. These things are critical to people like Spencer, and the Left offers a much larger advancement towards a society of his preference than what the Republican Party under Trump can offer.

The first, of course, is Socialism. And the second? Racial segregation.

Spencer likely (and correctly) assumes that a Democrat administration will cave to the loud and vocal far Left demands. Apparently, segregation is coming back into style. It’s beginning with the demands for black only spaces and housing on College campuses at New York University. Similar demands are being made at Rice University. Such demands will flow into other places outside of Universities.

Also it’s important to bear in mind that Spencer not only wants a government that will fold to these voices, but wants a better organized government than what we see in the Trump Administration that is regularly reshuffling the cabinet.

To people like Spencer, it is much easier to allow the Left to build a “framework” that is desirable to his world view. Especially since people like himself surely won’t be allowed to be the ones to build it. Spencer simply envisions that he and like-minded people can take it later, after those who are allowed to build a socialist and segregational framework do so under a steadier government that allows it.

After all, not even a year ago the idea of Defunding the Police or even Reparations would have been scoffed at. Now those are things being considered by local governments. And Spencer is voting straight ticket Democrat, including his local elections. He knows the urban Democrat run cities will fold to the protesters.

To Spencer, the woke crowd are useful idiots that have the momentum to provide a means to his end, regardless of whether their reasons (racial beneficiaries) align.

With the introduction of Kamala Harris to the Democratic ticket, the two major parties have an even more impressive resume on paper—at least among positions held rather than accomplishments made. Between the four, they hold a combined 40 years in the US Senate, 12 years as Vice President, 4 years as a state Governor, and 12 years in the House of Representatives. And of course, one is a sitting President.

This collective resume may highlight experience, or it may be seen as proof of too much time in “the swamp”. Whether or not major players from the major parties running government for decades are seen as helped by their experience, probably depends in part on whether voters think government has done a great job under their care over the same time. “Public servant” maybe shouldn’t be synonymous with government workers, but historically it’s a huge advantage when running a ticket for the Presidency, even if there’s an occasional businessman or peanut farmer thrown in for good measure.

Back in May, I had a chance to talk with Spike Cohen, the Libertarian Vice Presidential nominee. Not everything we talked about made print, and I asked him this very question of political office experience sometime after the questions about Star Wars and baby Yoda/The Child and a lightning round about the economic numbers underpinning monetary policy and social security.

SC: …then I would resign within the first 100 days and be replaced by Baby Yoda.

TLR: You brought up some of the former nominees… the last couple LP nominees were former Governors and Congressmen. How do you and Jo’s resumes stack up? And do you think elected office experience is necessary to be taken seriously as a presidential ticket?

SC: Well, we just found out that that’s not the case. So… our most recent President is a man who not only has no electoral experience… but going towards the idea of respectability politics, or electoral politics, electoral-only politics as being respectable?

Our current president is a bright orange man who speaks at a low scream and gold plates everything. He has no electoral experience prior to winning the Presidency, and he has been the butt of pop culture jokes for the better part of 40 years. He presented himself as bold, fearless, caring about the concerns of the people that he was marketing to, that he was he was campaigning to… and that he was the one who had the bold solutions that would fix it. Being Libertarians, we have the advantage of actually having bold solutions that will fix these problems instead of making them worse.

But with that said, Jo had the experience of running a multi-million dollar company. I had experience starting and growing a company and I sold it a few years ago so that I could focus on Libertarian messaging. But we have a history of business ownership and she also has experience as a professor. So we have experience in directing things and owning things.

With that said… there is no one who has the true qualifications to be given the kind of authority that is currently being centralized into the office of the White House. No person can claim to have the kind of qualifications necessary to rule over people in such a manner, which is why we as libertarians believe in greatly reducing those powers at the very least.

Spike responded to the choice of Kamala Harris as the Democratic Vice Presidential candidate on social media. Shortly after the announcement, he had the following to say:

#BidenHarris2020 “Keeping the incarceration rate at #1 no matter what”

#KamalaHarris incarcerated thousands for weed possession and then laughed when asked if she’s used it herself.
She blocked exonerating DNA evidence in a death penalty case as to not affect her record as DA.
She put single mothers in jail for their children’s truancy.
Calls herself a “progressive prosecutor”, despite opposing criminal justice reforms in California.

Spike followed up with a dig at Mike Pence and the Commission on Presidential debates.

Since Mike Pence won’t allow himself to be on a stage alone with Kamala Harris, the CPD should have me on to chaperone.

First things first: I’ll never tell you that your vote doesn’t matter or that it’s actually a vote for someone else. As I’ve covered before, that’s an intimidation tactic many people use as a method of voter suppression

There is something to be said for understanding the moral implications of your vote. For third party voters, it’s understanding that voting third party instead of voting for a Republican or Democrat may help swing the scale in favor of someone else. But if you already believe, like most third party voters, that both the Republican and Democratic candidates are morally reprehensible, those implications won’t matter to you because you believe either scenario is terrible.

But what about the moral implications for Democratic voters? Sure, they’re trying real hard to assert they are making the morally righteous choice by doing whatever it takes to get Donald Trump out of office. And while Trump certainly represents moral bankruptcy in a lot of ways, Democrats are ultimately proposing they replace Trump with Joe Biden, and now, Kamala Harris.

Democrats will make the argument that they’re not so much rooting for their ticket as they are rooting against the other one. After all, Biden’s primary campaign was on life support until the Democratic establishment pulled together out of fear over Bernie Sanders winning the nomination, and Harris’ own campaign didn’t even make it to the primary contests. Neither boast a particularly passionate base of support.

But what are the moral implications of casting your vote for a Biden/Harris ticket? Among other things, it’s a vote against the #BlackLivesMatter and #MeToo movements that have gained so much momentum in the last few years.

Biden has always been bad on matters of race relations. He was the architect of a 1994 crime bill that helped usher in the current era of mass incarceration, which has disproportionately targeted people of color, especially black people. And even today, Biden has defended his bill despite the evidence of its racist effects.

Then there’s all the things Biden has said that are…. racially problematic, at best, if not downright racist. There was his comment that “You cannot go to a 7-11 or a Dunkin’ Donuts unless you have a slight Indian accent.” There was the time Biden argued for his crime bill – the one that ended up targeting black people – by saying the bill would go after “predators on our streets.” There was that time in 1985 when Biden used the N-word twice and excused it by saying he was just reading someone else’s words. And, there’s the more recent examples, where Biden questioned the blackness of people that don’t vote for him and argued that black people lack diversity

As if that wasn’t bad enough, Biden is now running with Harris on his ticket. But Harris, as California Attorney General, oversaw an increase in marijuana convictions from her predecessor before later admitting she smoked marijuana in college. This is just one example where Harris used her power to target people of color despite ostensibly believing what she was doing was wrong. That was also the case when Tulsi Gabbard called her out for her strict application of the death penalty.

The combined careers of both Biden and Harris have been an unmitigated disaster for black people because of their desires to be “tough on crime.” Worse yet is that neither seems to acknowledge or admit the racist impacts of their policies.

But Harris does acknowledge the racism of Biden’s actions, at least. In the first Democratic debate, Harris attacked Biden’s efforts to block integrated busing and the fact that Biden had bragged about working with segregationists in Congress. While she didn’t outright call him a racist, Harris was clearly pointing out how he had contributed to racism in America. Now, she’s joining forces with him, effectively condoning the very racism she had called out just over a year ago.

The fact that Biden chose Harris—who has proudly referred to herself as a “top cop” in the past—to be his running mate right after an extended period of time in which mass protests against the police have taken place is an extra dollop of irony on the shit sandwich that is 2020.

Not only is a Biden/Harris ticket a serious blow to the #BlackLivesMatter movement, but it’s a crushing setback for the #MeToo movement. While Democrats have been quick to (correctly) call out Trump’s many instances of misconduct towards women—whether it’s demeaning comments, bragging about sexual assault, or being accused of rape—they’ve fallen silent on the issue when it comes to Biden.

First, there were all the videos of Biden completely ignoring the personal space of others, especially young girls. Then, he refused to apologize after allegations he made former aides uncomfortable with his unwelcome touching. And finally came Tara Reade’s in-depth description of an instance where Biden raped her when she worked for him in the Senate.

Most Democrats were silent on this, and even the Time’s Up Legal Defense Fund denied Reade legal support, apparently because the organization’s public relations firm was run by a top adviser to Biden’s campaign

But not every Democrat was silent on the many allegations against Biden. Harris, to her credit, spoke up about them

“I believe them and I respect them being able to tell their story and having the courage to do it,” Harris said at a presidential campaign event in Nevada.

This was prior to Reade’s allegations, and was solely in reference to the accusations that Biden had been inappropriate towards several women, including unwelcome touching and kissing. But the point is that Harris believes Biden has a history of inappropriate misconduct toward women, on top of her belief that Biden has a history of supporting and promoting racism.

And yet she has chosen to be Biden’s running mate, and help him win the presidency.

One of two things are true at this point. Either Harris was being truthful in the past, and is currently agreeing to work with and help elect someone she believes to be a racist with an inability to respect women—or she was lying when she indirectly accused Biden of being racist and standing in solidarity with his accusers.

Neither of those possibilities are a good thing, although the implications of a Biden/Harris ticket are much worse for anyone who hoped the #BlackLivesMatter and #MeToo movements would make major progress in curbing the rise of systemic racism and misogyny.

Instead, voters are faced with two presidential tickets —Trump/Pence and Biden/Harris—that embody both of those disgusting forms of bigotry. If either of those tickets wins, it will be a major setback for #BlackLivesMatter and #MeToo.

Joe Biden’s pick for VP pick shouldn’t sit well with anyone who cares about criminal justice reform or Black Lives Matter as he announced Kamala Harris would be his 2020 running mate.

This should effectively be the kiss of death to Biden’s race for the White House as it is no secret that Harris is nothing more than a cop who wants to be president. Any voter on the political left would do well to remember that Harris was grilled during the 2020 Democratic Debates over her record on criminal justice reform by Rep. Tulsi Gabbard.

Tulsi lit Harris on fire concerning her record as a former attorney general for the state of California.

“I want to bring the conversation back to the broken criminal justice system that is disproportionately negatively impacted black and brown all across this country today. Now Senator Harris says she is proud of her record as a prosecutor and that she will be a prosecutor president, but I am deeply concerned about this record,” Gabbard said.

“There are too many examples to cite, but she put over 1500 people in jail for marijuana violations and then laughed about it when she was asked if she ever smoked marijuana. She blocked evidence that would have freed an innocent man from death row until the courts forced her to do so. She kept people in prison beyond their sentences to use them as cheap labor for the state of California, and she fought to keep cash bail system in place, which affects poor people in the worst kind of way”, Gabbard continued.

When Joe Biden announced that Harris would be his VP pick, he said, “I need someone working alongside me who is smart, tough, and ready to lead. Kamala is that person, according to The LA Times.

Tough on what, Joe? Furthering the federal government’s war on drugs, which is destroying the black community in modern America? Maybe you mean tough on crime? The American people know all too well that any time a politician talks about declaring war on something or being tough, it is just political double-speak for more regulation, which is a stumbling block for desperately needed reform to our criminal justice system.

What in the world makes you think that after cases like Eric Gardner, George Floyd, and Breonna Taylor that anyone in this country would want a corrupt former cop as vice-president of this country, Joe? Oh, I forgot you’re the same man who can say openly racist things about black Americans twice and insult the intelligence of an entire community and think they will still vote for you.

Yes, black lives matter. Criminal justice matters. Ending the war on drugs matters. But not to Joe Biden. Do you really think a corrupt attorney general who prosecuted people for non-violent drug offenses, and hid evidence that would free innocent individuals gives a damn about helping the black community? Joe and Kamala don’t care about anything but more government and more control.

This does nothing but continue to demonstrate how out of touch Democrats are with their voter base and the American people at large. I predict this to be the kiss of death for Biden’s 2020 run for the White House, and it serves him right for what appears to be nothing more than another attempt at playing identity politics. Joe doesn’t want to reform the system because he is part of the political machine that plagues American society, and his choice of a corrupt cop as a running mate is further evidence of that fact.

Black lives matter to me because I believe all men were created equal, and anyone who wants to ensure that justice should be for all Americans would not vote for Biden/Harris. Voting for a corrupt former attorney general puts out a fire by adding gasoline.

Jo Jorgensen, the Libertarian nominee for President, addressed Joe Biden’s announcement that he chose Kamala Harris for his Vice Presidential running mate at an event in Dallas.

Kamala Harris is a US Senator best known for her harsh tough-on-crime record while attorney general in California. Her previous presidential campaign achieved brief notoriety from Tulsi Gabbard’s roasting of her during a Presidential debate that many believe ended her campaign, as well as her attacks on Joe Biden for supporting segregation and inappropriately touching women.

In addressing the crowd of supporters at her campaign stop in Dallas Tuesday, Jorgensen responded to the news of the Joe Biden’s VP pick:

“This year, our country is celebrating the 100th anniversary of our ratification of the 19th Amendment, which gave women the right to vote. As has too often been the case, the governing class has been far behind the will of the people. But our party has always been happy to lead the way. Whether it’s been the war on drugs, LGBTQ, or in this case, when it comes to the rights of empowering women. After all, the first woman in the history of the country to receive an electoral vote was a Libertarian. And I am excited to hopefully become the first woman in the history of the United States to appear on the ballot in all 50 states in two general elections. The gravity of this history is not lost on me.

Now, I’ve heard that one of the other parties just picked a woman as their Vice Presidential selection this week. But Senator Harris has an abhorrent record as a prosecutor, and Vice President Biden, legislatively, enabled her and others who held positions like hers to victimize people of color with impunity. Kamala Harris helped put thousands of men and women in jail for pot-related charges, and then proceeded to laugh about smoking marijuana herself. Harris also demonstrated her willingness to use third strike laws in order to extend unfair prison sentences.

Our campaign represents the only real option for voters who care about criminal justice reform. And I welcome everyone who wishes to see an end to the brokenness present in the system to come over to our side. I’m glad to give millions of girls and young women across the United States, not just any voice when it comes to the top job of the country, but a consistent voice for individual liberty and personal responsibility and personal freedom.

We cannot claim to be the land of the free when we lead the world in incarcerations. We have 5% of the world’s population, but house 20% of its prisoners. One of the biggest factors that led to a quadrupling of the prison population since 1980, is the racist and destructive war on drugs. In particular, the mandatory minimums have taken discretion out of the hands of judges, and instead force mothers, fathers, sons and daughters to be put in jail for 10, 20 years—sometimes even life—for a supposed crime that has no victim.

All we have to do is take a step back to the prohibition era to see the parallels. Despite realizing how poorly alcohol prohibition went, we have replaced it with a carbon copy. Drug kingpins have replaced mob bosses and drug dens have replaced speakeasies. When was the last time you heard of a liquor store owner going up and down the high school halls trying to push gin on high school students? Or when was the last time you heard of a vodka addict breaking into houses in order to support a vodka habit? And last, when have you heard of two liquor store owners having a shootout to get the best corner? What we have is not a drug problem. What we have is a prohibition problem.

There should be no law to prevent you from owning an object, whether it’s a gun to protect yourself
or any drug for whatever reason you want it for. If there is no victim, there is no no crime. As your President, I will federally decriminalize all drugs and encourage states to treat drug use as a health issue, not a criminal issue. I will pardon anyone convicted at the federal level of victimless crimes and allow the medical community to deal with substance abuse in a way that salvages lives instead of throwing them away.

In addition to overcrowding our federal prisons, the war on drugs has negatively affected communities and interactions that many people have with police. Drug gangs have been created and empowered by the fact that they operate in an underground market. They police themselves and too often violence is the result. Consequently, the federal government has created a police state, including the DEA, which receives over 3 billion of our tax dollars annually and have repeatedly raided medical marijuana clinics in states where marijuana is completely legal.

As your President, I will end federal involvement of policing, including the DEA. I will also end the supplying of surplus military equipment, like tanks and tear gas to over 8000 state, federal and local police forces. This has made Americans feel like enemy combatants in their own neighborhoods. As your president, I will end no-knock raids, which too often end up killing innocent bystanders like Breonna Taylor. And I will end qualified immunity so that good citizens can take legal action against police brutality when it becomes necessary.”

Over the weekend, the Libertarian party nominated Jo Jorgensen, former 1996 LP vice presidential candidate and current psychology professor at Clemson University, to be their presidential candidate for the 2020 general election. The little-known Jorgensen saw a bit of media exposure right away, with Fox News running a fairly mild-mannered piece about her nomination.

Then CNN had to put out this op-ed because Jorgensen cleverly repurposed Hillary Clinton’s #ImWithHer tagline for her own campaign and managed to get the hashtag trending in less than 24 hours. Naturally, the CNN op-ed barely mentions Jorgensen and immediately tries to paint her campaign as nothing but a spoiler to help Donald Trump get reelected.

Apparently, the Joe Biden campaign is becoming equally worried about Jorgensen’s campaign. On Wednesday, Jorgensen’s Twitter handle was suddenly changed from @Jo4Liberty to @Jorgensen4POTUS. It may seem like a natural and minor rebrand as Jorgensen’s team pivots from the primary to the general election, but the reasoning is quite interesting.

The change apparently occurred because the domain name Jo4Liberty.com was purchased by someone with the Biden campaign, who immediately redirected it to lead to Biden’s website. While Jorgensen’s actual website has a different domain name, it’s fascinating that the Biden camp would deliberately try to confuse voters by redirecting Jo4Liberty.com to his site. The thought process was that anyone who saw Jorgensen on Twitter, where she’s rapidly gaining attention, might try to go to her website and assume her handle was the same thing. Thus, the domain name was bought up and, to avoid any confusion, Jorgensen changed her Twitter handle.

This tactic says two things about the Biden campaign. First, it shows that, like their geriatric candidate, the Biden campaign doesn’t understand how the Internet really works. Very few people will mistake a Twitter handle for being a website domain name. Jorgensen even has a link to her site on her Twitter profile, thus limiting the chances of anyone thinking Jo4Liberty.com was the place to go to learn more about her.

But it also says, and perhaps more importantly, that the Biden campaign acknowledges the sudden rise of Jorgensen’s profile and wants to limit it however they can. That not only speaks to the looming threat of a Jorgensen campaign, but also to the way that Biden’s team perceives her as a threat, specifically to them.

Perhaps it has something to do with the fear that Jorgensen could siphon off support from Biden in the form of progressive voters—especially women, who have sympathized with the #MeToo movement and hoped for a female nominee like Elizabeth Warren or Kamala Harris. Instead, they settled for a bumbling relic of the Cold War who now has credible allegations of rape levvied against him, in addition to his already public habit of groping and sniffing women and young girls.

Maybe Biden’s team are worried that these voters might look into Jorgensen and see an accomplished woman who built a multi-million dollar company on her own and works in academia who supports bodily autonomy, open borders, ending the failed War on Drugs, and opposing discrimination of gender and sexual minorities. In other words, she’s everything these voters wanted and everything Biden so utterly fails at being.

And Jorgensen’s new running mate, Spike Cohen, already has experience drawing this crowd away. During the primary, Cohen was the preferred running mate of Vermin Supreme (who finished third in the presidential nomination voting) and worked closely with the popular political satirist. Together, Supreme and Cohen struck a chord with more progressive voters, which resulted in an outpouring of support for them after Bernie Sanders dropped out of the Democratic primary.

This is a voting bloc that, much like in 2016, suddenly felt homeless when the boring establishment candidate beat out their candidate that had promised a political revolution to change the status quo. But unlike 2016, when progressive voters could at least take solace in the thought that voting for Hillary Clinton might at least result in the first female president, this time around they’re stuck with Biden, who has a history of making women feel uncomfortable.

Between Jorgensen offering everything these voters sincerely care about and the successful recruiting efforts that Cohen has already been a part of, it’s not too far-fetched to think that the Jorgensen/Cohen ticket might siphon off that area of support. And that might be a motivating factor behind why the Biden campaign just tried to sabotage the Jorgensen campaign.

Whatever the actual reason is, it’s yet another example of the lengths that the Republican and Democratic parties go to in order to ensure that legitimate third party candidates don’t gain any traction. In this case, only time will tell if that Joe is able to slow down this Jo.

Ladies and gentlemen, the Libertarian party officially has representation in Congress.

No, they didn’t win an election or anything, but Justin Amash switched his registration from Independent to Libertarian prior to announcing an exploratory committee for the party’s presidential nomination on Tuesday. There had been rumors last week that Amash purchased a lifetime membership, but nothing official was announced until after Amash’s exploratory committee launch. That confirmation came in the form of Libertarian party chairman Nicholas Sarwark’s tweet:

While this doesn’t confirm the rumors of a lifetime membership, it does confirm that Amash is indeed a card-carrying Libertarian now. People have been whispering about an Amash presidential run with the Libertarian party for so long that Kamala Harris was considered a Democratic frontrunner at the time. But the whispers turned into rumblings two weeks ago when Amash tweeted that he was “looking at it closely.”

Of course, in order to run for the Libertarian presidential nomination, he would first have to be a registered Libertarian, and Amash has famously been a registered Independent since July 4, 2019 when he declared his independence from the Republican party. Now, Amash has joined the largest third party in the nation.

It’s a move that really only served as a precursor to his presidential campaign, but it does serve as a huge moment in history for the Libertarian party. The next time the House votes on something (likely another massive stimulus bill if recent history is any indication), Amash will record a vote as Libertarian, marking the first time that’s ever happened in the history of Congress.

It probably doesn’t mean much in the grand scheme of things, as Amash’s presidential campaign effectively ends his House reelection bid due to Michigan state laws prohibiting running for two positions at the same time. So no matter what happens in November, Amash will lose his congressional seat, meaning the party has roughly seven months to enjoy having an official member of Congress.

But Amash can show that having a Libertarian in Congress isn’t all that scary or bad, which could help boost public perception of Libertarians running for Congress everywhere. And if Amash runs a respectable presidential campaign, that will only add to it. In other words, this gives the Libertarian party something to brag about.

As for Amash, he first has to win the party’s nomination, and his late entry into the race could cause concerns among delegates. Signing up for a lifetime membership could ease those concerns in theory, but it was just four years ago around this exact time that Bill Weld joined the party with a lifetime membership. Then, he vouched for Hillary Clinton on national television and left for the Republican party a couple years later.

In other words, Weld has made it harder for Amash to convince party loyalists he’s really one of them, even with his fairly consistent libertarian voting record in Congress. Jacob Hornberger, once considered the frontrunner in the primary, has already started putting out videos attacking Amash as an “LP interloper,” signaling that this line of attack won’t ease up anytime soon.

Whether it makes a difference remains to be seen, but the fact of the matter is that Amash’s decision to join the Libertarian party will be remembered in the party’s history books forever, even if only because it gives them an official voice in Congress.
