In the 1962 movie, The Manchurian Candidate, [a]n American POW in the Korean War is brainwashed by the Chinese to undertake sinister acts to benefit an international communist conspiracy.

While the 2004 version of the movie takes place during the Gulf War, the plot uses a multi-national lobbying corporation that secures loyalty by brainwashing to accomplish its sinister goals.

The 2023 plot is simple. The Biden administration is taken over by extra-terrestrial beings (ETs) who brainwash its leaders into believing it is necessary to ban fossil fuels and rely exclusively on wind and solar power to run the largest economy in the world. These leaders firmly believe that the U.S. must be deindustrialized and depopulated in order to survive as a nation. The ETs brainwash U.S. leadership by beaming into their heads visions of perfectly effective regulations that solve all problems in the world by preventing climate change and implementing the new Woke Commandments written by a group of arsonists and pronoun theorists.

The ETs have the U.S. leadership believing all pollution, consumer products, appliances, food, and fossil energy can be eliminated through nationwide bans on the commoner’s use of such products. Additionally, the military has ordered every soldier to sit in a cornfield and beat their weapons into plow shares while memorizing the Stanford University’s guide on the “Elimination of Harmful Language Initiative.” TikTok films the sit-in for the Chinese Communist Party. Hollywood gives it an Academy Award even before nominations open.

The President of the country, “its exalted grand leader,” “his highness,” Joe Biden, has been hit by radio beams so frequently over fifty years in politics he can no longer speak in sentences or even read the English language from a teleprompter. His every attempt at a statement is a lie to the people he is to serve, whether it be on inflation, border security, or he has no business dealings with his son, Hunter. He firmly believes his lies protect the nation since the only thing that matters to the U.S. government is the protection of the Biden Family Syndicate. Unfortunately for the ETs, Biden may be brainwashed, but he has no remaining brain cells to carry out any of their orders.

Since the Vice President never had a brain to wash, there was no effort to work on her.

All the brainwashing is focused on the lower-down “leaders” like Kerry, who believe themselves to be descendents of several gods. Unfortunately, no one in the nation realized the FBI, CIA, and the thousands of its covert forces (“the Coverts”) were the first to be brainwashed. They were already helping the ETs implement their secret plan to take over the nation. The ETs transformed the bodies of the Coverts into Jack-in-the-boxes. On any ET order, they would pop out of the box, bobble their heads and spit out pre-recorded conspiracy theories. The Coverts insisted all the problems on the planet, from the beginning of time, were caused by the real Donald Trump. They knew they must resist Trump since they swore to defend the nation against imaginary enemies.

What the Coverts did not know is that the real Donald Trump joined the ETs soon after he lost the 2020 election. He is now in a conspiracy with the ETs to turn the Coverts mute, so they can no longer be talking heads on cable tv. Muteness is a punishment worse than death for them.

The real subterfuge is carried out by John Kerry, a very willing subject of the ETs. He is secretly told of an ET plan to take the elites to planet Disney where they will be forced to co-mingle with low-lifers who just want to enjoy themselves. He immediately informs his rich friends and surfing buddies of the need to escape. With temporary control of the U.S. government, the wealthy steal the remaining portion of the Strategic Petroleum Reserve. After filling the fuel tanks, they load their private jets with girlfriends, surfboards, expensive food, and wine.

They escape, seeking a permanent, beautiful life in a sub, sub, sub, subpart of planet earth called Davos – a mountainous city whose religion is hypocrisy. They leave the rest of us behind to exist as best we can. As they take off for Davos, they celebrate that the commoners left behind can’t even pray for salvation since the woke philosophers and leftist rioters eliminated all places of religious worship.

The script ends with a joyous John Kerry and the other elites believing they are the select group of humans saving the world. All have a vision of being rulers of a world without common people. In their bible, the rich are entitled to inherit the earth, but to do so; they must preach the grotesque fear of climate change. Their religion’s goal is to eliminate the humans considered cancer on the earth. However, had they watched the 1962 episode of the Twilight Zone titled “To Serve Man,” they would have known the ETs tricked them into flying to Davos.

ETs, like politicians everywhere, believe in “serving man.” The distinction between the two forms of service is that a politician serves man to satisfy his ego, punish enemies and get rich. The ETs serve man as dinner course.  Unlike the Twilight Zone episode, the brainwashed elites of the Biden administration could not understand the nuances of the ET language, so they had no idea of what was going to happen to them. The elites arrive in Davos to great applause from the ETs, awaiting the arrival of what is hoped to be a fresh food supply.

The ETs are quickly disappointed upon hearing John Kerry still talking about climate change. The ETs immediately realize that without the commoners who were left behind, the elites are worth only what they can produce. Unfortunately, BS is not worth much. But fortunately for the elites, the ETs don’t eat BS so they live.

The movie ends with the elites realizing there is “no exit” out of Davos. All the elites can do is listen to John Kerry speak about climate change for eternity.

As Kerry begins speaking, one ET notes, “Hell is having to listen to John Kerry.”

President Donald Trump and former Sen. John Kerry joined forces Friday to criticize Rep. Thomas Massie after the Kentucky Republican tried to derail the $2 trillion coronavirus stimulus bill.

Massie announced Friday that he intends on forcing a quorum vote on the stimulus package, which is designed to help Americans who were rendered unemployed following the coronavirus pandemic. Trump and Kerry expressed their frustration with Massie in dueling tweets.

Trump kicked off the charge with a tweet Friday morning suggesting the libertarian-leaning congressman looks like a “third rate Grandstander … He just wants the publicity. He can’t stop it, only delay, which is both dangerous … ”

The president said that “workers & small businesses need money now in order to survive,” adding that Republicans must win back the House of Representatives and “throw Massie out of Republican Party.”

“Congressman Massie has tested positive for being an asshole,” Kerry said of the Kentucky lawmaker. “He must be quarantined to prevent the spread of his massive stupidity. He’s given new meaning to the term #Masshole. (Finally, something the president and I can agree on!)”

Trump quote-tweeted Kerry’s tweet, saying: “Never knew John Kerry had such a good sense of humor! Very impressed!”

Massie can raise a point of order and ask if there’s a quorum under House rules, then he can ask for yeas and nays, which would need one-fifth of those present in order to scuttle the bill. Massie shared his thinking in a tweet Friday, telling his Twitter followers that he “swore and oath to the constitution.”

Massie described the package in a tweet Thursday as “not a good deal,” suggesting House Speaker Nancy Pelosi constructed in a way to make it loathsome to conservatives.

“They’re trying to convince us it should be a voice vote, it shouldn’t be recorded. And I’m struggling with this,” Massie told an Ohio radio station Thursday.

The House passed phase three of the bill Friday afternoon over Massie’s objections.

Phase three of the Senate bill would give $1,200 checks to every American, with married couples receiving $2,400. That check will go to Americans making less than $75,000 per year. Income earners who make above $99,000 would not receive any money.

Former Secretary of State John Kerry said Monday that the U.S. can still meet the Paris agreement on climate change standards so long as President Donald Trump does not win a second presidential term.

Kerry said during a visit to Norway that it takes four years to officially resign from the non-binding agreement, a time interval that corresponds with the 2020 presidential election. He also noted that there is a state coalition pushing ahead with restrictions on greenhouse gasses, despite Trump’s decision to pull out of the deal.

“We will meet the Paris standards, I believe, in the United States,” he told a news conference.  Kerry helped former President Barack Obama hammer out the U.S.’ portion of the pledge, which obligate the country to reduce 28 percent of greenhouse gasses by 2030.

Many U.S. companies, states and cities are pushing ahead with restrictions on greenhouse gas emissions, the Massachusetts Democrat told the audience members, “So I want people not to be dismayed.”

Kerry was referring to the so-called We Are Still In campaign, which hopes to create in the aggregate portions of the agreement. States like California and New York believe that they can rally enough businesses and cities to meet the Paris standards, but so far only the greenest states with the most to gain politically from opposing Trump’s move have joined the pact.

Major energy producing states such as Texas, Pennsylvania, and the Dakotas have not signed onto the coalition’s non-binding pact. Most of the states in the campaign reside on the coasts.

Campaigners argue they’re building a bottom-up coalition that will eventually include larger states and businesses. “This is the way we’re going to get to the unusual suspects,” one organizer told reporters.

Analysts were pessimistic about the initial pact. Obama’s target of reducing greenhouse gasses to lower the Earth’s temperature mostly missed the mark, according to an analysis in January by the Rhodium Group. The group found the Obama’s climate regulations would not be enough to meet the standards.

Other former politicians have joined Kerry’s optimistic position. Billionaire Michael Bloomberg announced earlier this month that he would finance a tiny sliver of the U.S.’ share of the administrative costs of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change, the mechanism required to keep the nearly 200-member nation deal upright.

“Americans are not walking away from the Paris Climate Agreement. Just the opposite — we are forging ahead,” he said in a statement Thursday shortly after the president moved to leave the deal. Obama pledged $3 billion to help poorer countries like China and India to reduce their emissions.

The nation’s largest local television station operator is on the verge of closing a $3.9 billion deal to purchase Tribune Media, in a move that could transform conservative television news.

Sinclair Broadcasting Group, which already owns 173 stations, announced the purchase May 8.

Tribune owns or operates 42 television stations in 33 markets across the country, as well as the cable network WGN America. Its stations consist of 14 FOX, 12 CW, 6 CBS, 3 ABC, 2 NBC and 3 MyNetworkTV affiliates. The remaining two stations are independent.

The group, founded in 1971 by Julian Sinclair Smith, has become a powerful force in television broadcasting. Sinclair has been labeled a conservative-leaning broadcaster due to its ownership’s perceived political positions and certain programming requirements. The Washington Post highlighted a 2004 example where Sinclair aired portions of an anti-John Kerry documentary across its stations.

Sinclair owns and operates stations across America, including WJLA in Washington, D.C. KOMO in Seattle, WKRC in Cincinnati and KSNV in Las Vegas. Sinclair’s current portfolio includes 53 FOX, 48 CW, 30 CBS, 36 ABC, 22 NBC and 28 MyNetworkTV affiliates. The group also owns 6 Univision and 3 Azteca station affiliates.

The landmark deal moves some of the nation’s largest local television stations into the hands of Sinclair, including stations in the top three media markets in the country; KTLA in Los Angeles, WGN in Chicago and WPIX in New York City.

In the definitive agreement, Sinclair will acquire 100 percent of the issued and outstanding shares of Tribune for $43.50 per share, for what amounts to an approximate $3.9 billion. Along with its television stations, Tribune also owns the digital multicast network Antenna TV, minority stakes in the Food Network and CareerBuilder, as well as a variety of real estate assets.

“This is a transformational acquisition for Sinclair that will open up a myriad of opportunities for the company,” Chris Ripley, President and CEO of Sinclair, said in a statement. “The Tribune stations are highly complementary to Sinclair’s existing footprint and will create a leading nationwide media platform that includes our country’s largest markets.”

Sinclair is also in the process of buying Bonten Media Group, which owns 14 local television stations, for $240 million. The purchase of Tribune Media and Bonten Media will give Sinclair access to 72 percent of American households through local television networks.

The powerful aggregation of local television stations gives Sinclair a massive platform for news coverage at the local level. Rumors have swirled that the group may be courting former Fox News Channel personality Bill O’Reilly or current host Sean Hannity in an effort to centralize its political programming.

Sinclair denies that it is recruiting Hannity, while speculation swirled the group may be looking to compete with the Fox News Channel as a home for conservative-leaning news consumers.

Boris Epshteyn, a Trump campaign spokesman who also briefly served in the White House, joined Sinclair in April to serve as its chief political analyst. The move is further evidence that the group is ramping up its political muscle.

“We understand the frustration with government and traditional institutions,” Scott Livingston, Sinclair’s vice-president of news, said. “Mr. Epshteyn brings a unique perspective to the political conversation and will play a pivotal role in our mission to dissect the stories in the headlines and to better inform and empower our viewers.”

“I greatly admire Sinclair’s mission to provide thoughtful impactful reporting throughout the country. I look forward to contributing my voice to the ongoing dialogue with the American people,” Epshteyn said, according to Variety.

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC), which has feuded with Sinclair in the past, must approve the purchase. FCC Chairman Ajit Pai is expected to to clear the deal, as he ushers in a new era of free-market ideals inside the Commission.

The FCC would not comment on the deal.

The Obama administration was not shy about boasting of the removal of chemical weapons out of Syria in 2013.

“We could cut the deal that got 100% of the declared chemical weapons out of Syria. And people nevertheless, have been critical of one day of bombing versus the virtue of getting 100% of the chemical weapons out of Syria, and I ask any of those critics today, where do you think you would be if ISIL, today, had access to those chemical weapons today?”- Sec. of State John Kerry

Unfortunately, it appears that their statements, like other narratives which were pushed for political points may have been far from the truth.

According to the New York Times, Tony Blinken, former deputy secretary of state and deputy national security advise, is admitting that the Obama administration was aware of their mistruths.

“We always knew we had not gotten everything, that the Syrians had not been fully forthcoming in their declaration,” Blinken told NYT.

The Blaze reports:

In 2013, the U.S. and Russia inked an agreement with Syria that allegedly turned over the Assad regime’s chemical weapons stockpile to the international community so it could be destroyed.

The deal came after Assad again used chemical weapons against his people — killing more than 1,000 — and crossed then-President Barack Obama’s infamous 2012 “red line” policy, which vowed military intervention if Assad used chemical weapons against his citizens.

Obama and top officials like then-Secretary of State John Kerry and then-national security adviser Susan Rice said at the time the deal allowed the world to come to a peaceful agreement that both prevented more military intervention from the U.S. in the Middle East and protected the Syrian people from being brutally murdered with lethal chemicals at the hands of Assad.

Kerry said in 2014 that the agreement removed “100 percent of the declared chemical weapons out of Syria,” while Rice said in Jan. on NPR the deal was “able to get the Syrian government to voluntarily and verifiably give up its chemical weapons stockpile.”

According to the Blaze, before Blinken’s statements, there was already evidence that Obama officials were aware that they were lying regarding the possession of chemical weapons by the Syrian government. Most of that evidence comes from comments Obama officials, including former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, made last year.

In fact, the American Interest backed this idea, digging into comments made by National Security Adviser H. R. McMaster last week, who said that during targeted U.S. military airstrikes last week in Syria following another chemical weapons attack, “measures” had to be put in place to avoid hitting sarin gas stockpiles. reporting:

If this strike was arranged to avoid hitting sarin storage facilities, the question arises: did the Obama Administration know that such depots still existed after its “historic” deal that supposedly removed all Syria’s chemical weapons?

The signs point to yes. In Congressional testimony last February, Obama’s Director of National Intelligence James Clapper acknowledged “gaps and inconsistencies in Syria’s declaration,” validating reports that Syria was still hiding banned chemicals at undisclosed locations. And on its way out the door in January of this year, the Obama Treasury quietly introduced new sanctions against Syrian officials involved in chemical warfare. Buried in the language sanctioning a particular official was a telling admission: “As of 2016, Abbas has continued operating at locations in Syria associated with chemical warfare-related missions.”

Whether or not the Obama Administration knew of this particular sarin facility, then, they clearly knew that Syrians were still clinging to their stockpiles at several locations.

Not shockingly, fact checking websites such as PolitiFact and the Washington Post, who had originally stated that Kerry and Rice’s statements were true, have been quick to change the 2014 statement by the former Secretary of State and Jan. 2017 claims by the former National Security Advisor unequivocally false in recent days.

Secretary of State John Kerry claims President Barack Obama did not retreat from his chemical weapons red line, even as Syrian President Bashar al-Assad crossed it several times.

Kerry’s contention, laid out in a Tuesday talk at the U.S. Institute of Peace in D.C., is that Obama did not retreat because he was “always ready to bomb” the Syrian government if it did not comply with the 2013 deal struck to get chemical weapons out of Syria.

Kerry conceded to the audience that the notion that the U.S. did uphold the red line has taken hold as a narrative and hurt the credibility of the U.S. in future negotiations on Syria. “Its just not accurate,” Kerry lamented.

The terms of the deal contradict Kerry’s claims.

“We have been very clear to the Assad regime … that a red line for us is we start seeing a whole bunch of chemical weapons moving around or being utilized,” Obama told reporters in August 2012. A year later, definitive reports confirmed widespread chemical weapons use by the Assad regime against civilians, including sarin gas.

Despite pressure from his own advisors, the international community, NATO, and U.S. allies, Obama demurred on his “red line.” Obama instead opted for a Russian-brokered deal with the Assad regime, in which Assad would give up his chemical weapons arsenal. “I’m very proud of this moment,” Obama told Jeffery Goldberg of The Atlantic. Obama elaborated, “I believe ultimately it was the right decision to make.”

The United Nations Organization on Chemical Weapons confirmed in 2016 that the chemical weapons deal has been repeatedly violated by the Syrian regime, in a major rebuke to Kerry’s claim.

U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry’s closing memo to President Barack Obama painted a rosy picture of the U.S. role in the world since Obama took office in 2008.

Kerry claimed Obama made the best of a bad situation, citing Obama’s inheritance of wars not his own in Iraq and Afghanistan, in addition to a grave economic crisis. Talking points seeking to validate Obama’s supposed success by blaming the past are a frequent and familiar direction for the Obama administration.

“The United States is more secure, more respected, and more engaged in the world,” the glowing memo states, adding that, “President Obama laid a stronger foundation for American leadership in the world.”

“I can say with confidence that the United States is more deeply engaged, in more places simultaneously, on more critical issues, with greater consequence than ever before in our nation’s history,” Kerry said, closing his introduction to the fawning memo.

The timing of the memo is particularly poignant, and comes just a week after the U.S. took the unprecedented move of snubbing Israel at the United Nations. The snubbing of one of America’s closest allies, prompted condemnation from British Prime Minister Theresa May, the new leader of America’s oldest ally.

The snub came at almost exactly the same time that Russia, Turkey, and Iran struck a ceasefire in Syria without any participation by the U.S. The Russian-brokered peace deal shuts the U.S. out of future diplomatic process concerning one of the most consequential conflicts in decades.

Kerry may be unaware of his recent misfortune, since his memo closes by saying, “we have brought the international community together to confront the most serious challenges we face and to seize the most significant opportunities that will shape our future.”

On Tuesday night, Libertarian vice presidential nominee William Weld will not be invited to debate Mike Pence and Tim Kaine. However, in 1996, the then-Massachusetts governor got to show his debating skills against then-Massachusetts Senator John Kerry. Weld spent most of the debate defending tax cuts and government reform against the very progressive policies of the eventual Secretary of State and 2004 Democratic presidential nominee. The first half of the debate was a more “traditional” structure, while the second part employed a “Lincoln-Douglas” format.

Kerry predictably attacks Weld as giving too many tax cuts to the wealthy, opposing raises in the minimum wage, and being cruel to the poor and disabled for wishing to cut government spending. He at one point even asserted that the Republican governor wished to take the wheelchairs and communicative devices from children with serious physical disorders like down syndrome, cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy, and cystic fibrosis. The Democrat also used the common progressive fallacy that any decrease in the rate of spending is the same as a cut, which Weld promptly rebutted.

Kerry eventually defeated Weld by a tally of 52% to 45% in November. However, the Massachusetts governor far outpaced Republican presidential nominee Bob Dole, who lost to Bill Clinton in Massachusetts by a score of 61% to 28%.

More than $9 million of Department of State money has been funneled through the Peace Corps to a nonprofit foundation started and run by Secretary of State John Kerry’s daughter, documents obtained by The Daily Caller News Foundation show.

The Department of State funded a Peace Corps program created by Dr. Vanessa Kerry and officials from both agencies, records show. The Peace Corps then awarded the money without competition to a nonprofit Kerry created for the program.

Initially, the Peace Corps awarded Kerry’s group – now called Seed Global Health – with a three-year contract worth $2 million of State Department money on Sept. 10, 2012, documents show. Her father was then the chairman of the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations, which oversees both the Department of State and the Peace Corps.

Seed secured a four-year extension in September 2015, again without competition. This time, the Peace Corps gave the nonprofit $6.4 million provided by the Department of State while John Kerry was secretary of state.

Seed also received almost $1 million from a modification to the first award, as well as from Department of State funds the group secured outside the Peace Corps.

The Peace Corps program – called the Global Health Service Partnership (GHSP) – sends volunteer physicians and nurses to medical and nursing schools in Malawi, Tanzania, Uganda and Liberia, according to Seed’s website. More than 40 clinical educators worked at 13 sites in the 2014-2015 program.

Kerry and government officials colluded to launch the program and ensure that Seed would get the contract.

“Vanessa, Buck, and Sarah are meeting with Ambassador Goosby on the morning of 9/16/11 to discuss next steps for the GHSP,” said a memo from September 16, 2011 – one year before Seed received its first award. “Conversations with OGAC leadership confirm that Ambassador Goosby is very supportive of the initial proposal.”

The memo was referring to Peace Corps Directors Buck Buckingham and Sarah Morgenthau and Ambassador Eric Goosby, who then headed the Office of the US Global AIDS Coordinator (OGAC) – the State Department office that later funded GHSP.

A meeting one month later unveiled the strategy to send tax dollars to Seed.

“The public funding to start the GHSP is secured, it will come from OGAC through [Peace Corps] to support core HQ and field based activities, and to develop a sub-agreement to provide support to the foundation for contributions for their work in this partnership,” minutes from a Nov. 18, 2011, meeting said. The “foundation” refers to Seed, which was then called the Foundation for Global Health Service.

Officials in that meeting also assured Kerry that she would not have to compete with other groups for Department of State funds.

“Buck obtained clarity of the mechanism by which federal money will be provided to” Seed, the minutes said. “The process can be fast tracked and non-competed through a specific grant mechanism.”

Meanwhile, the State Department buried its intent to transfer funds to the Peace Corps in its required congressional notification.

“The GHSP is a smaller line item in a multi-page document with multi-million dollar programs,” minutes from the November 2011 meeting said.

Seed received its first award less than one year later. Peace Corps later provided another nearly $900,000, noting  it underestimated the program’s expenses, especially travel and salary costs.

It’s unclear when that modification was added, but Kerry drew a salary from Seed for the first time in 2014. She was the only officer listed on the nonprofit’s 990 tax form to receive compensation – some $140,000 for a reported 30 hours per week.

Discussion about the $6.4 million extension also provides questionable details. Peace Corps officials noted that contracts could not extend beyond five years and considered competing the next award, but decided they would “go forward with sole-source option if mandated by OGAC,” minutes from a July 17, 2014 meeting said.

Ultimately, the extension was awarded without competition on Sept. 10, 2015. It’s unclear why the Peace Corps violated its five-year policy by giving Seed seven years of non-competitively awarded funding.

Peace Corps justified the decision to forgo competition by arguing Seed was already burrowed into the program, and that replacing it out would cause problems.

“As such, if a cooperative agreement were to be awarded to a new partner, applicants that were recruited and vetted by Seed may be unable to be placed in the field,” a Sept. 10 2015 document stated. The document further noted that “Peace Corps has been unable to identify any potential partners which satisfy the needs of the GHSP program” other than Seed, which was created based around the program’s needs.

Seed spokesman Mark Marino denied any conflicts of interest, telling TheDCNF:

No conflict of interest exists in our partnership with Peace Corps and the US government. Dr. Vanessa Kerry is primarily employed by and paid through Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School. Dr. Kerry receives no financial compensation from the Peace Corps or US government. Funding from the Peace Corps, an independent agency in the federal government, represents about 27% of Seed’s total $6.3 million budget this fiscal year.

Marino also claimed that “Seed is the only organization that provides debt repayment for US doctors, nurses, and midwives to serve internationally, something Seed does entirely through private philanthropy. Seed specifically works in the areas of medical, nursing and midwifery education focused on human resource capacity building, making it different than many other non-government organizations.”

A Peace Corps spokesman who demanded anonymity told TheDCNF that the “Peace Corps is proud of the continued work we have done in collaboration with Seed Global Health and the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) to send qualified health professionals abroad to teach and expand clinical capacity.”

“Since the agency’s early years, Peace Corps has sought to improve health outcomes in the countries it serves. The Global Health Service Partnership is an innovative continuation of the Peace Corps’ commitment to global health.”

Department of State spokesman John Kirby told TheDCNF that “there is absolutely no conflict of interest here. Secretary Kerry played no role in this decision making while in the Senate or subsequently while at the State Department.”

Kirby said “Kerry’s work on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee allotted funding to PEPFAR generally — not directly to this program. Using funds appropriated by Congress for PEPFAR, the State Department directs funds through an interagency process to seven implementing agencies.”

“The Peace Corps recommended the GHSP for funding support, and approval of that support went through the standard interagency budgeting and review process. The GHSP was one element supporting PEPFAR’s Human Resources for Health Strategy, which was developed in part to meet the goal set by the U.S. Congress of 140,000 new health care workers trained by PEPFAR under its fiscal year 2009-2013 reauthorization.”

Russia’s foreign minister refused to answer U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry’s question about Democratic National Committee (DNC) hacking allegations because he didn’t “want to use four-letter words.”

Kerry raised the allegations July 26 in Laos at the ASEAN summit, and told reporters, “I raised the question and we will continue to work to see precisely what those facts are.” Kerry did not reveal Sergei Lavrov’s private response, but highlighted the FBI had opened an investigation into the allegations that Russian intelligence services were behind the DNC hack.

Several FBI officials anonymously told The Daily Beast July 25 Russia was the top suspect in the DNC leaks. Two independent cyber security expert firms attributed the hack to Russian intelligence agencies, noting that hackers left behind a signature in Russian and that both groups responsible for the hack are well-known Russian intelligence fronts.

The FBI sources speculated Russia likely released the emails because of Republican presidential Nominee Donald Trump’s public embrace of Putin, and past comments wavering on U.S. Article 5 commitments under the NATO treaty. Former Defense Intelligence Agency chief David Shedd told The Daily Beast, “The release of emails just as the Democratic National Convention is getting underway this week has the hallmarks of a Russian active measures campaign.”

The first trove of Wikileaks emails were released just three days before the DNC convention to nominate Hillary Clinton opened. The timing of the leak and its possible intention to inject chaos into the convention raises the question as to whether Wikileaks has been “weaponized” by Russian intelligence agencies.

Wikileaks head Julian Assange is a paid contributor to RT, a Kremlin-backed propaganda outlet. John Schindler, a former NSA analyst and national security expert, noted Monday in The New York Observer, “that Assange and Wikileaks are surrogates for Putin is now obvious.”
